prokits are as close to OEM replacement you can get, with minor lowering, and slightly stiffer then stock. if you wanna go easy on your back why not put to 2f 4r, swapping springs wont help unless you go with OEM springs and kybs... Teins are noticably stiffer then prokits FYI.MAXIMUS Nismo wrote:yesh, he does look like a subie. Just a little bit.
Does anyone know how the Tein's spring rates compare to Eibach prokit's ?
I also have the AGx's but with the Prokit. Been on there for almost 2 years now.
As I get older, my back has started complaing when I drive at 3f/6r on in-streets, but on Highways, it's smooth.
well looking at spring rates when looking at a prokit isnt really going to do any good...just because its a progressive spring. so the factory numbers they give you for spring rates pretty much mean didly squat. i've got kyb gr2 and a prokit on my d/d and its really stiffened things up dramaticly. the shop i work at just installed a set of tanabe's on an is300 and werent nearly as stiff as my prokit turned out.silnismo wrote:

damn man, what makes it look like a subie?? people also said it looks like a neon srt....
x2 but, you cant force people into it.eds13 wrote:coilovers>any strut spring combo.
I figured it out when I installed coils on my 240. It had only stock suspension til I put on the coils. But my friends all use just springs, and the thing I noticed most was that springs are far more bouncy than coils. Springs are stiff, but still bouncy over certain surfaces. Coils are stiff without the bounciness. Coils FTW.KDashy wrote:

People will eventually figure out on their own.
Especially when they get real wheels and dont want to look like a 4x4 anymore.
i agree. i was just going to go with a spring strut combo for my s13, then when i read up on ppl who were selling them. 90 percent of the ppl selling springs and struts were switching to coilovers...and most had less than 10k miles on them. i figured i should just do it right the first time and not spend the extra money on somethin i'd replace the next summer.eds13 wrote:coilovers>any strut spring combo.
