Here is my wifes versa. Its lowered 1.5" using Tanabe springs and it rides on 17" Motegi wheels. I think it looks killer. What do you guys think?

Here are the pics:

Honestly I don't see much of a diff.the "v" has a high ride height to begin with.looks normal to me but rims n tires look nice.

I lowered it myself. It wasn't hard. It took me around 3hours to do. The wheels were put on by a shop. Thanks for the feedback.

That looks CLEAN!!!

I think the Versa could handle 19" wheels easily - The problem would be finding VERY lightweight ones.

Oh man those wheels look sweet. I am split between the grey or the white V. Great job! I hope my car will look as sweet as yours.

17's look great and still have enough sidewall and air to to keep a decent ride. I really like it. Hoping to do something similar myself.

I "helped" her pick the wheels. To keep her happy I'll give her all of the credit .

Are you running your stock shocks with those springs or did you move to an aftermarket type?

If you re-read his post, you will notice he said he is using 1.5" drop springs from Tanabe

I would think the tires are 215/45/17, but could be wrong.

Just a question from someone with no personal interest in this sort of a mod (and therefore no direct knowledge of the details)

...does changing to a bigger tire affect the speedometer/odometer readings?

It does look great--not at all extreme or ridiculous, like some mods. Looks like it came from the factory that way. Very nice.

It can but you can bring your tire/wheel combo close to stock using a calculator like this one:

Is there a ecu fix for the speedo like on american trucks?

Yes they are the factory struts and shocks. It rides just a little bit stiffer but it feels way more sporty.

It cost me around $250 for the springs. I lowered it myself. You can call Dave at Garage Works here in Edmonton if you want a set.

Nice that is pretty good. I know with most cars I have lowered 1.5 or so you have to run an aftermarket shock because the oem can't handle the shorter stroke.

Please check in after the springs have settled and some miles are put on the car :D

Very very nice, I'm not much for lowering cars but I've seen some nice lowered versa's, I also love the tinting how dark is that?

Thanks! That's the same color as mine. It's nice being able to see what your own car would look like dropped with wheels and tint. I can't stop staring at those pictures!
