So about 2 weeks ago, one of our 240sx moderators, MagikDragon got in touch with me about looking at a body kit that he wanted. It was an Ings kit for his s13 and the seller was unwilling to ship. Well it turns out that the seller lived about 2 1/2 hours south of me, so we worked a deal and yesterday myself and my girlfriend, NSR240sxe, hit the road to go pick it up.
We took one of the Ford Focus' knowing that was our best bet to fit a body kit in.
So we hit the road in the focus...
And hit some construction
And ran into some rain...
Then it got darker and rained some more
While driving we enjoyed some Red Bull, a candy bar, and tiny bits of Doritos after Steph stepped on the bag
Look! Its an unbroken chip!
The body kit pick up crew
Oh yeah....and it rained even harder
Spotted a kitted kia with an exhaust that had like 20 crush bends in an attempt to make it center exit
Oh.....what is this? A brewery?
Finally into Columbus
So we met the guy at the Walmart and loaded the kit into the car. Didn't snap pics of loading it into the car as we were occupied with trying to make it fit. Who woulda thunk that an s13 rear bumper and side skirts would be so damn big?
Steph didn't have much in the way of leg room on the way back. She says Sean is gonna owe her a drink in Carlisle
I took a bite out of the directions when the kit was being difficult at fitting in the car
So we got it in the car, and Steph had an expensive headrest on the way home
By now it was like 8pm so we were gonna grab some dinner. Came across one of these in a very hispanic neighborhood. I think we were the only english speaking people there when we went in
But there was a hobby shop in the shopping center behind it and I snagged this
A couple hours later we got home and unloaded the kit and put it in my garage. Here's a couple pics of it.Its real
And here's what it would look like on an s13, Sean got just the rear and sides since he has an s15 front on his hatch.
We had fun, and it was an enjoyable time all around (even with Steph having no leg room ) MagikDragon will get his kit at Carlisle as I'm just tossing it in the car trailer with the Z.
Thanks for looking!
