Just curious on the longest road trip people have done in their 240. I'm thinking about driving mine to Vegas if I can't get a hold of my Accord for the week.

Longest I've done is about 170 miles in one day, two days in a row. <- And this is with the stock KAE. Vegas is going to be about 280 for me.

So post up your miles, and any problems you've encountered along the way.

When I first got my 240sx it was by Cleveland, OH and I live in Bella Vista, AR it was about 11hours one way trip, I learn that day that semi bald tires + rain + 240sx = hours of unintended wheel spin

longest trip was last summer..middle CT to northern vermont~260ish miles both ways on my freshly rebuilt KA.....pretty much no police presence once youre north of White River Junction, so i let the KA stretch its legs as far as they would go...down hill on the straight sections of I91 north, had the tach buried around 6700 rpms in 5th. I have no idea how fast that was (speed sensor wasnt hooked up), but it was pretty fast..

I took my 240 to MD and back to visit a friend at college - it was about 500-600 miles total I guess in one day.

Then I got an oil leak...and some driveshaft issues...and a worse oil leak... haha

I drove from Wilimngton, NC to Houston Texas. Its about 1200 miles. I did about 15 hrs one day, took a nap then finished the trip off. about another 2 hrs. A 91 240sx with a tuned sr20 and stock boost. As long as the motors swapped in right , taken care of properly and tuned right it can take the beating.

Well last fall I drove a stock single slammer from Indianapolis to NOPI (Atlanta) via Baton Rogue, Louisiana. THAT was a long trip, especially since the cruise control worked intermittently and there was no radio. I think that was about 900 miles in one day and I had 1000 NICO shirts stuffed in the hatch.

Right on par with Andy's feat, drove over 1200 miles one way from Kansas City to Phoenix, AZ moving me and all my shiz down there. Had over 600lbs of crap in the car with a whole heap of sagging going on, lol, the rear tucked like crazy. That also includes hauling all that crap through the mountains with the A/C on, did phenomenal and even got great gas mileage, though it had the automatic in it, still got almost 400miles to the tank before the mountains. Did the same on the way back with even more crap.

Thank you. It was actually a good time.

When I bought my current 240, I drove from Indy to Bucks County, PA on Saturday and drove back on Sunday and that was 12 hours of driving each day. That was long weekend.

Drove from Minneapolis through the northern part of MI down to South Carolina, then back through the Appalachians to PA, west to MO, then back home. I had 2 weeks before I started the new job, so I figured I'd go have some fun. No idea how many miles that is.

Yeah, and I wasn't able to get out of town until 10am. Did I mention that 1000 tshirts takes up every spare inch inside a 240 hatch?

VA Beach to Atlanta and back a few times; 2 trips in a SOHC, one with the RB20. (9.5 hours with the KA, ~8.5 w/ the 20) For the record, people fly down I-85 I think it is, I'd be cruising at 90-95, and I'd still get passed by normal cars; I loved it.

My longest was definitely the one roundtrip I made from VA Beach to Chicago. Not sure how I survived that one as it took around 13 hours I think...

Not very far for me so far.

I've done just over 200 mi round trip a few times in my RB25 powered fastback.

I do plan on taking some longer trips when the weather gets better here in the NW.

Well, let me put it this way; my user name isn't just a tricky name that I came up with out of the blue. I used to spend a LOT of time on the road. Still sucked with no radio or cruise.

I've done PA to FL a couple times. Once in my current s14, and once in my friends s14, both kade's.
