Haven't heard of it. I have an 03 auto coupe and have had no issues with the transmission. There were some transmission issues with some of the pre '06 6mt's, but I don't recall the exact details of the issues. I don't recall hearing any issues with the auto though.

YES. I had to completey replace my transmission when I had around 100,000 miles. All at my cost. Ridiculous for my transmission to drop this early and it was really expensive. I have a G35 2003 and am looking to get rid of this car asap. Have had nothing but problems since hitting 100,000 miles.

These entry level cars are designed to function thru the legal life of 100,000 miles.

Most import premium brands start to need things replaced after that mileage..........especially at 120k [historical data].

Owners who plan on keeping much beyond warranty are advised to do complete fluid changes from every system FREQUENTLY.

Why 100k cars sell used for 25% or less of new MSRP..........anything above that amount is some illusionary cachet.

Interesting... Our run of the mill people mover Nissan Quest Mini Van has 240,000 miles on it and the transmission is completely original and works fine today. Note this vehicle has been used to tow a 4,000LB travel trailer for many years.

We pay for quality and long life and that is what we expect. Give me something less and I will be shopping elsewhere.
