accidently posted this in the wrong forum before

many of you may remember this thread: zerothread?id=212976

well... here's an update

i think that says enough

off to the body shop tomorrow! (the car is still in the condition you see in those "before" pictures, hence the body shop!)

sr20 on the way for it

edit: my cat in the background looks like a demonic headlight/grille demon who is about to pounce and destroy

thanks. i love my kouki.

for the s13 aero, i'm trying to find the factory aero kit. if not, i'll probably get a version select v2. paint is going to be midnight purple if i can find the right color code for it. LP2 was what i was told from searching on here, but then i also read that american shops probably won't be able to get the right color from it since it's japanese.

Nice progress so far and nice kouki too.

From your previous thread you say there isn't any frame damage but the front uniframe is bent. Also you say the front strut tower is tweaked too. You may want to take it to a frame shop before you paint, just to see what they think. Keep us updated on the progress.

That sounds awesome the version select vII is my favorite aero for silvias. Imo

the midnight purple would look pretty hoss on that.

I had those because I wanted to color for myself but I am sticking with stock Midnight Blue, looks blue/purple/black... sometimes all at once. But yea also came on 240's, well 180's:

oh dang~

what's the color code for that one?

also, when does the s15 t28 actually start boosting? mr. ni$mofly said there's virtually no lag with it and that i will "love it." can anyone confirm/deny this statement and/or elaborate?

hey dude whats going on. Thats defiantly my old car. You bought it from a guy named Eston, he had it for maybe 6 months. I had the car before him.. it still looks exactly the same except the wreck, I put Tein Basic coilovers on it, front and rear strut bars that are polished like the valve cover & A SSAUTOChrome CatBack. The front bar got bent in the wreck. Am I ringing bells? I miss that car so much, many memories When I sold him the car it ran extremely strong. Alot better than my current S14 did before it blew a headgasket, lol. Let me know if you want to know more about the car, and what I did to it. The car was originally from south carolina, that where I bought it with a little over 100,000 miles.

This post is a repost from your other thread, "opinion needed on possible bent frame car that was just purchased." I just wanted to get across to you, the car defiantly seems to be heading in the right direction, so good luck. I cant stand to see one of my old cars after I sold it ruined.

yeah i responded in the other thread. like i said there, my friend straightened the strut tower bar by standing on it, lol. that's just sitting in my garage now along with the rebar that needs to be taken to the body shop!

but yeah, i should be ordering my sr along with the plethora of parts for it next week.

also, some guy told me that the "sr block can only handle 200hp before it pops" and kept saying that the "sr is perfect if you plan on leaving it pretty much stock" i was like ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ok

it's really awesome when a body shop has had my car for 5 days and call me today to tell me that they don't want to work on it. the first thing he said was "your hood doesn't have cutouts for the headlights." i told them straight up that the front is not the exact same as the USDM, but it bolts right on without problems. ffffffffffffff this is so frustrating.

tomorrow morning it's being towed to another body shop across town. this guy actually knows what a silvia is and what an sr20 is, and said there shouldn't be a problem with the front. they're also the people i took my k's wing to for my s14. they were my first choice to take it to, but i went with my girlfriend's dad's opinion about how he hasn't had good work from them.

i guess first instinct should have been first choice :\

i'll post a follow-up tomorrow after i get back from the shop if i have enough time before work. otherwise, i'll post it after work.

met the tow truck and picked my parts up and took it over to the new body shop. i wasn't fond of the look on the guy's face, but they SHOULD be able to fix it. i won't know for sure for a couple of days since they're way backed up and there's only one guy in the office since the other is about to have a baby.

so, part one of the wait has begun. part two will begin if/when they get to work on it. they also said it would probably take two months since they're super backed up. but oh well, as long as it gets fixed.

well, so far so good. i got a call today and the guy said the other shop was way off on their invoice and that he'll have an estimate for me tomorrow, so one can only imagine how much i'm looking to spend :\

but it's for the best! i hope...

i get paid next friday, so i'll be having all of my sr swap stuff sent to m-town (memphis, for the non-tennesseeans) so my pal can get to work on putting everything together and getting the ecu shipped off and such

very exciting... it will be more exciting when i get a 100% quote and FINALLY get the car back. i'll post an update on the new price so we can all laugh and say i'm dumb for spending that much/etc

after some thought, i figured that it would be in my best interest to get rid of the car and just get one that isn't wrecked. so i managed to sell the wrecked one and i'm in the process of getting together with a guy in marietta, GA and getting his black s13 coupe.

he's a really nice guy and the car is in excellent condition. BONE stock, which is great since it's just getting a silvia front (yay matching color!!!) and sr20 anyway. very excited. will update with pictures on thursday when i go to purchase it. he's supposed to be holding it for me.
