Just letting you know, I just tried this wiring on a 95 automatic, and there are issues... The wipers come on when you turn the key on and there is no wiper switch in the car right now. There are a few issues as far as the steps also. On the auto dash harness, there is no wire in pin 9 to give power to the ECU power relay on the SR harness which isn't the big of a deal, BUT look at step 11 (pin 17 ka to pin 17 sr) the wire going to the ecu relay IS in spot 17 and the one that goes to the ECU for constant 12 volt is located in 20 or 21. A little confusing, but none the less...

Okay. fixed the wipers. The japanese harness had the black and brown wires flipped for the US motor. De-pin and re-pin fixes the problem. Also, the wire that is supossed to go into pin 9 on the harness needs to goto pin 16. That's an empty one that gets 12V.

I didn't cut off both of my plugs I just repined the SR plug and added the terminals from the KA harness to cut and solder. I'll post tomorrow once I get the cooling system done, the exhaust system done, and the tranny filled!

that info is not good. none of the colors matched with my s14 sr when i was doing the swap. had to send it away to get done. there is no official wiring diagram write up that does work.

I'm amazed that no one found this thread from just a little while ago. I put both pinouts for the dash plug between an S14 SR harness and a '95 USDM S14 chassis.

As far as 95/96 being the same, I won't say yes and I won't say no cause I haven't looked through the '96 manual. More than likely, they're close, but as far as I know, there are some differences in wiring between the two generations.

And what do you want for color code? I have the wire colors listed in shorthand in my notes.

Do you have a kouki JDM service manual? If so, I'd like to see it. It would be a nice addition to the library.

That's the zenki manual. Just be warned that there will probably be differences in wiring.

Hey fast_s13 I have a question for you what about the rest of the wires on both plugs, do you just color match those or what do you do with them?

Also I have '95 240 and on mine pin 9 is empty and I have two reds one in pin 17 and one in pin 20.

yeah, thats funny....^^^

but I have the zenki SR in a kouki. The pin outs are definitely different, so you kouki guys can't use this. you need the FSM to locate the pins for the wipers. If anything else isn't working its something that I don't use.
