Here's a little install/how to writeup on an offering soon available to NICO members from Matt Hunt at http://www.leddomelight.com who is a new sponsor.

The product is an LED replacement for the dome light on your Z32's. The test car that it is fitted on is my 1990 Nissan 300zx. All non-convertible Z32 models 90-96 use the same 158 dome light bulb so this will work for you.

I've always found the stock interior lighting to leave a lot to be desired when entering at night but I never thought to do anything about it. Well around came Matt with his product and I figured I'd give it a shot. Well let me say, no more dim lit interior....this product certainly changes that!

Install time shouldn't be too bad, I had to modify mine a little bit to get it to fit just right but I'd imagine the kinks will be worked out and a perfectly fitting kit will be available soon to you guys

Anyway....on to the how to pics....

Stock dome light

Just pop off the cover. It should come off easily with your hands but if it doesn't use a small flat head screwdriver and carefully pop it off. Once you do so it will reveal the stock bulb in the socket. Press the little metal tab at the front side of the bulb to release it. It will pop right out into your hand. That will give you this....

The cover and the stock bulb removed

And then your dome light will look like this....

The switch assembly and socket

Here's what the box will look like that your LED domelight will be packaged in

Inside the box you will find directions and a carefully wrapped LED lighting assembly

Here's a picture of the back of the LED assembly, you can see the bulb like adapter fixture that fits into the socket

Its now time to plug the 158 bulb adapter into the socket. After you plug the adapter into the socket, you need to test to see which side of the adapter has the right polarity, so touch the bulb to the receptacle, if nothing happens, the adapter is 180 degrees backwards, meaning the polarity is wrong. If that's the case, no sweat, just flip the bulb adapter and you're in business. Now peel off the covering on the two sided tape that is on the backing of the LEDs, insert the LED panel into the dome light cover, tuck in the wiring, and snap the cover back on.

Here's a picture of the LED's installed

The difference is night and day. The pictures don't come close to doing this justice. Its like HID's versus standard headlights. I am seriously impressed with how well it illuminates the interior of the car and the crisp white light it generates and coats the passenger cabin with. I highly recommend this mod.

Cool install man, definitely a night and day difference. I'll have to see it in person.

I'll see what I can put together tonight for you but I doubt I'll be able to considering that's a 2+2 thing only

Ok cool cause I was scratching my head trying to find a 2+2 this time of year to do the install

As for keeping it clean, I just have a really good coat of wax on it and that allows me to just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth to clean it up most of the time.

I love writing down new items on the wish list of parts. Once Jan 2nd hits some the parts off the wish list will be heading here to the house,
