for some reason now, when the vehicle is idle it is shaking really bad. it just started one random day and is still doing it. when i say shaking really bad, i mean really bad, it does it even from start up, sometimes u can feel it still shaking even while driving.

Sounds like it could be the injectors or the plugs.

My car did that when one of the crappy Bosch plugs in it burned up. I learned my lesson the hard way, that Bosch plugs don't work in the Q. You can ohm out the injectors, to see if any are out of spec.

Fortunately, I did not hurt anything else on the motor.

Another thing to try is the MAF connection. Open the hood while idling, and wiggle the MAF connector (It is the mass airflow sensor that is right behind the air filter. If the idle clears up, then you have a bad connection or loose solder joint.

i checked the MAF connection, shook it a lil nothin changed. im guessing it must be the plugs and wires too, its 186k miles, and i dont kno when the last time it was changed from when i bought the car. anyone have an idea how much the dealer would quote me to replace the plugs and wires? also would the dealer put the plugs and wires in if i bought the parts myself?

There are no plug wires, only the integrated extension of the coil to plug assembly.

You will probably find oil leaking into the plug well from worn out valve cover gaskets.............

i believe the coils definately need to be changed. i cant tell u when the last it was changed cause i dont have any dealer history on this vehicle. I havent checked either but I cant get to the dealer anytime soon nor have the money to do it. Nor have the time to do it myself. Do you think a can of BG44k would improve the performance and stop the shaking a bit? I'm also having a problem with the RPM, when i push all the way down on the accelerator, the RPM slowly rises up then when it gets to 3500 it lurches forward and speeds up.

1.) Why? What diagnostic data do you have to confirm that?

2.) Then get it by submitting your VIN to your friendly local Infiniti service writer whom you have been cultivating. Or register your car with Infinit Customer service and be prepared to write as it is read to you over the phone. Then you can tell u, whoever he or she is.

3.) Better park it and save some money then. No car self heals without maintenance.

4.) You could try, but the Infiniti delaer performed service hsitory (or lack thereof) will probably confirm a host of deferred maintenance, which is why you paid so little for the car.
