W/my s13 blacktop it stops pulling at 6k so no point reving to 7k or 7500. Not sure if its the same for the s14 w/the vvt and all.

+1 Yeah I dont go passed 6k . no power after 6200 ( redtop ) . I would invest in some rocker arm stoppers

Is your motor a CA?Is your motor built for high revs?Do you have an after market ECU?

If you answer yes to the first then (no sh*t)If yes to the final 2 or last question only then thats probably why

If none are yes I would find out why cause the head and crank arnt built or balanced for those revs.

ppl have revved to 8k on stock valvetrain with RAS for years. theres no point on doing it on a stock turbo because you dont make much power up there.

I rev to 7500rpm just because of the stock valve springs. Once they get upgraded then ill bump the limiter to 8000rpm. Once i do the solid lash conversion then itll be 9krpm for sure.
