How did you diagnose them? Did you ohm test them?

Since injectors are a wear item, it is best to buy new from http://www.infinitipartsusa.com but even then they are not cheap.

Regular fuel filter changes? BG44K? Tier 1 premium only?

Are you ohming your injectors to determine that they've gone bad or pulling codes from the ECU? If they are ohming good (10-14) and are just dirty they can be cleaned up. If they need replacement you need to know that you are limited to using injectors only from a 90-93Q but you have a couple of options.

First, check out the infiniti parts forum. PopPop has refurbished injectors for about $30-$35each. You could also buy an entire fuel rail with eight injectors and have them refurbished for about $20/ea. There's a rail for sale on e-bay now for $100.

I think you are better off buying from PopPop since you will get all injectors ohming in the 12-14 range. If you buy a fuel rail you may get a couple that are dead and unusable. Of course your best choice would be to buy 8 new ones from our sponsor at about $170/ea.

Here's new one from our sponsor, an infiniti dealership:

...and another sponsor selling used injectors for I think around $60-$70/ea.

Which injectors are shot? Did you get lucky and have only #1, #2 or #8 go bad?

Move the three most marginal injectors to these locations so you can replace them with the plenum on.

When you say limited only, what is the concern?

90-93 is a different shape from the 94-96 and I don't think they are interchangeable. The reason I said you are limited is because I've seen more than a few sellers on e-bay saying their injectors will work in all 90-96 Q's. Need to check what year Q they were pulled from if buying used.

1990-1993 injector design is a single pintle. 1994 - 1996 is a rotary disk.

Intake manifold designs differ respectively also.

Forum sponsor Deatsch can clean and calibrate injectors, but nobody can actually rebuild them.

I'm dealing with the same problem. I bought the fuel rails with 8 injectors still in them off of ebay for 70$. You could probably try some junkyards online or craigslist too. I found these guys http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorfaq1.php4 who say they can clean the injectors up for 15$ a pop. and I found a guy here in Atlanta who will put them in for 200$ as I'm not a mechanical whiz. Hope this helps!

Gotta tell anyone interested in injector cleaning and calibration, Deatschwerks are the pros.

Installing a fuel rail is easy. You need new gaskets, but the difficult part is getting there. If he can get in and out and not fubar the hoses for $200, he really is a great technician or a BS artist. And if you are going that far, might as well do the hoses and KS, about $25 extra at his rate, throw in the VC gaskets for another $10.

Buy used, send to DeatschWerks for testing and cleaning. I met a NICO member who works for them. They do great work.

If you have a drill press take the drill out of the chuck and put a 1/4" diameter wood dowel in its place. I think I used a couple of short pieces of 1x2 to block the fuel rail from below. Keep the wood blocks as close to each port so as not to bend the fuel rail as you gently press out each injector pintle cap up. If you lube the oring side with penetrant first they will pop right out. Be ready to catch it so you don't damage the connector end. Practice on one of the dead injectors first.

If you don't have a drill press you're still going to need to block it up in a similar fashion on a work bench and apply a steady pressure to the pintle cap until the FI pops out.

If you don't want to mess with it I'd send the whole rail to DeatschWerks and for a few more dollars per injector ($3-6?) they will remove and reinstall your good cleaned ones plus any other good ones you may have sent or buy from them. Call them on the phone and have them explain your options and cost. I was very pleased with the service on the injector set I sent in with a really quick turnaround time. Good luck.
