hes refering to the pulled rear fenders. they are pulled/rolled, but there is no need. the wheels are too weaksauce for a pull/roll.

...or to anyone who's not into the rice scene; "I'm poor and ghetto!"

When you get the real paintjob, either of those colors will look great.

really? i painted my car flat black because i looked better then a blue, champaign , and red car.. i also can't afford to get my car painted. i'm pretty sure it's the same with 90% of others that paint theres flat..

pretty sure since sport compact or whatever mag did it, its become a trend, and it didnt even start on an s-chassis, the honda guys have been doing it for years for looks over function.

but i guess isnce you did it, that qualifies you to generalize the rest of them? nice try though

I think it looks pretty decent, but (and I know I'll probably catch hell for suggesting this) if you kick out $60-100 for a couple cases of color Rustoleum, a case of clearcoat, and some 1000 grit sandpaper... All you need is time and elbow grease.

It looks good

Flat black is a good color and the rattle can job is more practical from a daily driver/grocery getter/work vehicle/etc.. point of view.

Spending $1000 on a paint job just to have some jacka$$ slam his door into it at the local grocery store the day after you get it back is not very practical in my opinion.

But, if I spent $50.00 on a flat black paint job and some jacka$$ slams his door into it at the store, I can just spend another $5.00 and, with enough prep, it will look just as it did before the incident, hence more practical.

No, it is not "ghetto".

How it is applied and the amount of prep beforehand is what makes it "ghetto".

im not knocking your car. my whole point was that a flat paint job is great for temp until you have money or time to do a better job, its the losers that ruin a perfectly good oem paintjob to look "drifter tyte" that make me cringe.

when i get my second 240 running, i will be rocking the mismatched body panels until i can try that rustoleum roller job.

started on hotrods, but i do see where you are coming from. point i was trying to make was that not all people do it for the "street racer" look..

Yup, SR20DET's with exhaust systems are pretty stealthy.

What about different flat colors? I know there are other flat colors out there besides black. Why not a nice blue, or silver. All you need is time and patience.
