I guess it didn't matter that the back window didn't shatter since they'll have to replace the whole hatch right?

I think we should have a moment of silence for the first Versa casulties.

Looks like it held up. By the pix, it looks like the rear quarter-panels are OK?

Once I got over the "Wow" factor, it looks pretty good to me. The car did a really good job of absorbing the impact waves. The rear windshield didn't shatter and the left lens didn't even crack. I'd hate to hear the results of the accident if you were in a different car.

the shop said that they can probably un-glue and reuse the glass. If not, it will be re-tinted.

Only reason the left lens didn't shatter is because the truck hit me off-center, to the right. This is also why the damage to my front bumper is to the driver's side and angled.. he sent me at an odd angle into the back of the Suburban.

It's hard to tell if the rear fenders are damaged or not. They look fine, but they may be flared out a bit at the back from where the bumper cover basically ripped out of its mountings.

Though you can see why the car did get 5 stars both front and rear. That was a LOT of weight going pretty damn fast into my back end.

I'm pretty sure the nhtsa gave it a 4 star frontal crash rating. Either way, glad you're okay.

I also have to note the fact the rear glass is intact. Especially after reading your account of the wreck. Impressive.

What, the right side one?

That's what a Versa's stock lights look like when the right lens has been destroyed.

He was being facetious.

Versa held up surprisingly well. Looking for an attorney i hope? I'd at least get checked out by a doctor (speaking from prev. exp).

Sadly, my streak of taking pictures of the car that make it look black is actually still intact. Those pictures were taken by the body shop, not by me.

Simply put, ouch. Hopefully insurance is taking care of most of that. Now the good thing it shows us all that if we have an accident, we will be pretty safe. The car holds up like a champ.

I was rear ended. The accident is not my fault, ergo I don't have to pay a dime... the other guy's insurance must pay for it all.

Which makes it even better. See in Wisconsin, both people are at fault, no matter what. Oh well joys of living here.

I think a few no fault rear ends into the local politician's vehicles will help change that.

No. I didn't hit the Suburban hard enough to trigger it, and they don't trigger from rear collisions.
