It is illegal for your warranty to be void for installing any aftermarkert part. There are laws written to protect the you. The only way a dealer can void your warranty is they can proven that an aftermarket piece caused the failure of the factory part in question. Also, check out the SEMA Action Network's website at http://www.semasan.com and look under the YOUR CAR'S WARRANTY section. There is a lot of good info in there about aftermarket parts and warranty.

Hi, I have never intalled anything in my M35x 2007. I have two questions: 1) Do I need a machanics to install one of these? 2) Will new intake improve HP and gas milage?Thank you. Wey | Quote, originally posted by Msport » | | This was the easiest intake I have ever installed. I have installed about 5 K&N intake systems on different vehicles. Gives the engine a deep growl around 4500 RPM and a lot better throttle reponse in that range. I will post pics asap. Modified by Msport at 5:50 PM 9/20/2006

This is pretty simple install. I can email you the install PDF if you want, and no worries.Yes, you get quite a jump in HP, and you can definitely feel it. Gas mileage should improve if you drive how you did before you installed the intake, hehe.. It will be hard to at first, since you will be flooring it aroud every corner testing out the new power, sound, etc...

More mid, higher.upper rpm. It isn't as loud as the video shows, that mic is very sensitive in the movie. It's defintely nothing overbearing, and just gives you a big grin on your face, hehe.

Sorry I've been busy so here it is a clip of how it sounds seconds after it's fully installed.... It was by far the easiest intake I ever installed and I have installed a few before... As far as performance...I felt about 7hp gain (or maybe that is my mind playing games with me or I'm in denial ) but that is not the main reason I got it... I got it because of that smooth sound it makes when I floor it. Jason was right about feeling it @ 4,000 RPM. I love the sound though. It's perfect. Not too loud, and not too low. Just right...the video that was posted way above above is NOT what it sounds like. The microphone was definitely sensitive on that camera. I used my cell phone to record the video so it's not the best quality either. When I have time, I will record the sound of the M being floored past 4K RPM so you can see. Anyway Jason, thank you for all your help. Well worth it. I am very satisfied http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnCm21JdlwE

What are you referring to? Are you saying this intake is sucking hot air into my engine? Or are you saying something else? Please be specific

If that were true, then this intake wouldn't show any gains on the Dyno, which is does do pretty darn well. Remember, when you are moving, it's sucking the air through you grille, etc, which is what helps give the gains. You will also get better MPG, mainly on highway. You can see the Dyno, etc. on the website link under "more pictures".

you need to isolate the cone a way from the heat from the engine. the way like some mustang cold air intakes works. they route there intakes in the areas that only gets the air from outside, blocking the any hot air from under the hood. i f you on the dino your hood is open fan is blowing it should gain some horses, but shot the hood stay in traffic for 15 min. heat is crazy. the stock set up with panel drop in filter no heat from out side just from the grill just make sense. i have 03 m 45 it works just like ram air effect. straight from the grill into the air box thou the k&n or what ever you got. in one ward under the hood too much heat. you need to block it.
