k, i have a 93 S13(base model) with s13 se rims(7 spokes), and i was wondering since my brakes are fading out(old) i should just go ahead and upgrade, but i don't exactly feel like gettin a 5 lug conversion and 95 se wheels or things like that, so i need to know if either z32 caliper(26 or 30mm) will clear 7 spokes(the rotors should, they're like 11" or so i believe)

There are 3 versions of the 7 spoke wheel. One of them will fit.

There are two versions (that I'm aware of). One fits, the other doesnt. It depends on the bracing for the spokes on the inside of the wheel.

Good wheel

Bad wheel

^ of course...

Theres no order to the madness. Nobody seems to know the deal. Apparently the different styles werent associated with a certain year or body style or anything. I'm guessing two different mfg'ers built the wheels. Ya just gotta look.

From what I hear, as far as the 7 spokers go, the 2nd pic (bad fitment) is on the 93 and 94 S13's. I have a 92' so my 7's clear my calipers. Just barely!

mine were supposed to be from a 92 vert, but i guess they're from some other car.(bought'em @ junkjard, friend had thrown his vert out there less than a yr ago)

so will spacers make it clear? and if so how big the spacer?

id say probably like at least 10mm spacer cuz yesterday when i picked up these there were both there and i look at both of them and the "bad" one seem to stick out quite a bit. but idk

No specific order to how the wheels came on the cars. However, it should be noted that the "good" wheels will only clear the 26mm calipers.

so will a 10mm spacer make the calipers fit?(& would it be the 26mm or 30mm, and if there's a spacer that will let me do 30mm, how big would it be?)

my 93 240sx had the "good" 7-spoke wheel design.

anyway, i used 8mm wheel spacers on stock studs to clear the 30mm brakes with my 7-spokes. i would severely discourage anything larger than 8mm for a sandwhich type wheel spacer on stock studs.

supposedly, 5mm is enough, but that's just hearsay(from this forum)... you can probably do a search on that.

bump that. 12+shipping from summit upgrades each corner with arp studs strong and long enough to run upto .75" (yes 1st hand exp) spacers. done.

or save your money for what will surely come while running junk on crappy studs.

oh my 91 hatch came w/ the good wheels. however s12 offsets suk, hence the spacers.

i have the bad design......so i think i'd need more than 8mm spacer to get it to fit.
