Lately, been seeing quite a few post about timingbelt and through some of you guys might be interested for some pics. Anyway it is about a ~5hrs job.

and a piece of advice, if you plan to reuse the belt tensioner, be careful with it.

I should have, i paid $63.62 (just for the belt)at a local Nissan Dealer. Cause the car is sold, and i want to get it done ASAP. This is a pic of my new ride, as of right now, can anyone identify what it is.

Looks like another white J30 to me. The brake fluid tank and the power steering fluid tank helped me figure out. What model year? Why is the motor out? You are putting in a new motor?

That would be a 93 J30t, i like the handling of my 94 J30, and think the T modelwith stiffer spring and 4 wheel steering has got to be even better, then i found a 93T with a bad transmission that i can get for real cheap in my area, after i bought it and drop the transmission, i also picked up another body damaged J with good engine and transmission and i am doing the swap right now. Don't think that 5sp swap or the TT swap never cross my mind, but it is just more money i would like to spend right now.

My 93 J30 apparantly has the touring package. I was looking at the original purchase invoice. The original owner paid $2K extra to get the touring package with Hicas and stiffer suspension. It rides a little funny over the bumps (I am used to driving cottony suspentioned accords) but handling is awesome.

So I guess having the touring suspention+hicas probably makes my car a J30T right? Even if the t is not present in the emblem at the back. ....

unlike a VG30E SOHC engine, you don't "set" the tension, you release the tension on the hydraulic tensioner. you put a bolt throught a hole to release the tension to get the belt off, and after you have the new belt on, you take the bolt out to put tension back on to the new belt. one last word, a very important one, " Don't put the bolt in too much, or you will be very very sorry. " Don't ask me how i know. Just take my word for it. Good Luck

"t" models with HICAS corner like they are on rails. I regularly give more powerful Euro cars fits on the twisties. With the HICAS I never really have to brake.
