Which Idler! Have 2 and can be done from bottom or top! Lossen the 14mm bolt on the face of pulley and then adjust the 12mm vertical bolt to remove or add tension! Just make sure you don't overtighten the belt for bearing load wear!

You have to attack it from both under(AC Idler pulley) and from above for the other two. You need 4 bearings if your replacing the bearings from all 3 idler pulleys. Two for the PS Idler(top right) and one each for the Alternator and AC Idlers. It's not hard at all.

I suggest removing the cooling fan shroud and the cooling fan to make things simple and easy to get to. Loosen the Idle puller nut(14mm) but don't remove it yet, then loosen the tensioner bolt at the bottom of idler bracket(12mm) to loosen and remove the belts. Check belts by bending for cracks and possible replacement. They are inexpensive and worth replacing if you see lots of little cracks. At this point remove the Idler nut and remove the pulley. Simply check the idler by holding the middle bearing on both sides and spinning it. If you feel any resistance, replace it. texasoil had sets of idler bearings for a very good price. If you have to remove a bearing just press it out and vice the new one in.

When your putting all back together I just remind you to tension the idler pulleys first before finally tightning the idler nut itself. If you are using aftermarket belts(carquest, advanced auto etc...) they tend to stretch where as the OEM Nissan belts don't.

If you bought new idler pulley's then just swap them out.
