Thinking about swapping to this OEM looking Head Unit from Bose. Does anyone have any idea if it'll work?

Yes. You need an adapter which you can order by calling Infiniti of Scottsdale.zerothread?id=95021Part number 24028-3B300. Its also called a "300ZX sub harness"

Thats a pretty nifty CD changer.

Not sure how much yet, the guy will probably let me have it for around $125 or so...

It is pretty cool though, a more recent look for the Q without looking so "flashy" It has a in-deck 6 cd changer.

Thanks for looking! and Thanks to Jesda for the info!

Thanks for the tip. I sent an email request today, mentioning the part name/number you supplied me with... How much are these things? Also, can you do this with the existing speakers, or must you get new ones???

Thanks.

You can use the existing speakers. It just goes in between your deck and your old harness. I think I paid $17 including shipping. Let us know how it sounds.

Just be careful, some of the 2002-ish units were standard double DIN behind the dash, but the trim piece wasn't rectangular. Hard to say for sure as the pic has the shadow on the one side.

I've been watching for a in dash 6 disc changer, but they're always >$300 .

BTW, I am using the '99 Pathfinder single in dash HU with the '95 Q45 in trunk changer .

One thing that's kind of cool with getting a newer Nissan HU is this connector you can get at Crutchfield that's an interface for direct connection to a factory HU and your Ipod. Check it out.

They dont make one for the G50 radio, but they have them for many newer Nissan HUs.
