HelloI was wondering if anyone has a pic of an s14 with 17's lowered with megan racing coilovers.I am trying to decide to go 17 or 18. I dont really want to pay for 18" tired, but if 17 look too small then I guess I will have to.

the type of coilover really doesnt affect the height, unless youre trying to go quite low

heres Kamin's kouki on 17s:

Bare minimum for S14s is 17/18 stagger.

18s are easy unless you're going for ubar fitment.

I think I will go with the 17's. I like the red kouki. Would you happen to know the offset of those wheels? also the tire size. I kinda wanto to run a semi stretch in the rear, but I'm not sure.

ok. the diameter dilemma is solved. 17's it is. Next it width and offset. I am looking at getting 17x7.5 in the front17x8.5 in the rearboth sizes are available in thses offsets:+20/+25/+30/+35/+40/+48 (I know the 48 is outta the question.)which would be the best to clear coilovers?also what is good tire widths for these wheels. I have searched and it looks like most people are running a 225/45 front and a 245 or 255/45 in the rear. I was kinda looking for a slight stretch in the rear so I was thinking maybe a 225/45 front and a 235/40 rear. I will post a pic of what I am looking to do.

I have this kit coming, this is close to the desired look. I know it wont be exact since those wheels are 18's, but thats what I am looking for in terms of flushness.

really? that sucks.

They are Rota D2's. Similar to the SSR's that are on that green car. Actually, I think they are knock offs that exact wheel.

I dont really like any other wheel, except the SSR's of the same design and those are the same price as what I paid for the car.

what is the issue of the sizes I gave? is it the tire size or the wheel width itself? I think I can do 17x8.5 all the way around.

Also, it doesn't have to be exactly like the green one, just similar. I am not looking to spend a whole lot, I just don't want the S13 wheels that are on there.

LOL at posting Drift Unit car.

7.5???????? 8.5??????

Its an S14, jesus, S14s take 17x9 on stock fender like cakes.

Version Select (Vertex knock off) is ON THE GROUND at any good looking ride height on 17s.

Get 18s if thats the style you're going for... IIRC there was one Drift Unit car running 17s a while ago... but thats not it.

those wheels dont come in any size that would be what youre looking for

i dont know of any other replicas of those, youd have to get the real things, which would be better anyway

you might try looking at something a little different, if you dont want to pay for the works or ssrs

ok, to get that look what exactly do I need?I dont mind the work wheels. I am not having any luck finding the SSR's. The work VS-XX is available in many different configurations. heres a link. I was thinking 18x8.5 +19 front 18x9 +20 rearwould this be close? if not, please take a look at this page and give me your thoughts as to what would be close. thanks.

Youve got it all mixed up. The minimum diameter you should on an s14 with aero is 18. Period.

You also need to get past the idea of staggering. s14's can take wide wheels, the only reason to stagger is if you are running 10+ inches wide in the back. Id go with either 18x9 or 18x9.5 all the way around.

Russell or chmercer will be able to help you better with sizing wheels, but youre still going to be wider than that to get that fit in the picture, probably 9/10 or 9.5/10.5, something to that extent

18x9.5 +7 on the front, I think the Standard Disk will clear Z32s.

18x10.5 with a +14 on the rear with the low disk.

Thats About what most people are running on S14s. 18x9 +0 18x10+0 is pretty common.

That would be pretty hot

what kinds of modification would be needed to run the 9.5 and the 10.5?What if I went 9 all the way around? what offsets would be good?Sorry fort the noob quesitons. but the last wheels I ordered looked horrible and I couldnt get rid of them for the longest, then when I did I didnt get half of what I paid. I want to get these right. Thanks for all the help, keep the suggestions coming.

IIRC thats what that green car is on now.

Fenders will mainly need a good roll, 3F 2.5R camber... maybe a little less...

So yeah, I just got a quote on the wheels. I dont think i will be going with the works. They cost about half of what I paid for the car. I was thining more along the $1500 mark. So I guess I am not really shooting for the look of the d-unit car anymore.

Ok. what would be the best offset and sizes to get of the rota's. I dont care if it looks like the green car, I just want it to look decent.

Also, what some other relatively inexpensive wheels that will fit well and not look retarded. I prefer 5 spokes with a nice lip (who doesnt). I would also like them to come in gold, but i can always paint or powdercoat.

For the rota's 17x8.5 +20 would be what fits best for those wheels, But even still they won't look THAT great but I think they might do the job for you

I have 17's on a stock body S14, it looks good, but once you put aero on it you have to go 18's IMO for it to look right.

More than likely you might want to save up some more money and buy the right wheels instead of those knockoffs. You gotta pay to play

Work CR kais in 18x9.5 +12 are about 1500$

CST Hyper 01s in 18x9.5 +15 are about 1000$

MB Weapons in 18x9 are about 1000$

FNs in 18x9.5 +12 should be like 1200$

Work Meister S1s aren't that expensive... Pana G7s are 2000$ a peice in the same size.

If your looking for a Drift Unit style car you will need to spend money.

All of the Drift Unit cars look the way they do because they are stylish and have money in them, its a hard style to fudge.

I'm not telling you to go out and build an Exact copy like that assclown on Zilvia, but spending the money on good wheels with a good fit instead of dumpster spec "hey, we tried" Rotas will get you a cooler car in the long run.

18x9+0 18x10+0

Seriously man, spend the money, S14 with Vertex Knockoff is nearly impossible to make look good without alot of money in wheels.
