I've Been gone for a while, but now I'm Back. - Some updates to the car ETC-

Hey guys/gals,Well it's been a while since I've posted anything even though I've been reading alot of posts here. Anyways, here's what's new. Sometime ago I puchased a 300zx front brake conversion (rotors, calipers pads and SS lines) from a member here. He also threw in a no name Strut Tower bar.

The bar was installed a while ago and it totally woke up my car. With the AGXs set at 2 front 4 rear, the car seemed to respond a bit slow when I turned the wheel. Like half a sec slow. It was annoying at first until I upped the AGxs to 3front and 6 rear.That really woke the car up. There is one particular bumpy on ramp that i used to take at 35mph, but with the STB and the agxs set higher, I can do it at 50-53mph. Not bad i say.



I also purchased a new short antenna for the car. Here's where I got it. It's not installed yet so I cant show any pics.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

Next update is a minor one but I finally got the plates I wanted "RUDEBOY". ANd yes, I've been stopped by a cop so he could find out what it means. (if u wanna know, check wikipedia)



But the biggest change so far is the Insatllation of the brakes and a basic/moderate tuneuep of the car. The work is being done by my mechanic.

1) Oil Change,2) gear oil change,3) radiator and reservior tank flush,4) valve gasket replacement,5) timing chain guide removal,6) install front rotors, calipers and lines, rear pads and lines, 7) bleed brake system and replace fluid,8) rotate tires and an alignment.

And all I have to pay for are the parts!!!!!







Oh yah, and an impulse purchase I made on ebay....... a silvia front grill. All this performance stuff so I decided to give the aestetic side a lil' sumtin'.

Ok I'm gonna go back and play W.O.W now. hehe

yes I do. i live in an apartment and i have no time to do it. When i lived in a house, i would do it myself. Now the $32 I spend is a good trade off for the money I can make in the time it would take me to change my oil.

yah I know, we are a set of do-it-yourselfers mostly because we are broke, but some of us don't have the time.

300Zx brembo replicas...hehe I like them too. Next time I'll prolly have them powdercoated.

Just a quick question, I see you live in MD, if you dont mind me asking, how much are the vanity tags? Id like to get Kouki ones.your car looks great, I really need a small antenna, it bugs me when I go to the trunk and I get a quick slap to the face.

The Plates cost me like $25 to get. My previous tags got ripped off when my car was towed, so i used that as an excuse to get these.

As for the brake caliper paint, it's a ceramic based paint i bought off ebay. (i'll go get the link in a min) Easy application, just don't rush it.
