Alright So I have an 1989 240Sx nissan Stock engin and i keep gettting cut off when im drifting or trying to take some one out on the street...So i heard about cuting the Yellow and green wire off the ECU. So i did, but i still had the same problem. What am i suppose to do. Do i still need to remove other sensors???Can somebody please tell me what to do to fix this problem???

You still have to unplug two plug on your transmission I believe its the 2 middle one on the transmission. Or I heard that you can use a auto ecu on a stick, and you wont have any speed limiter.

Your rev cut you mentioned happend to me in my 90 hatch.

I lost my speedsensor when I still had the hatch. 3,4,5 gears...anything over 4k and the it would cut. I read somewhere that if the speedo isn't registering anything, the ecu limits the RPM's.

Never heard about the auto ecu on that, but the plug on the transmission, does that work, the computer isn't getting a signal, doesn't that still throw things off?

I have cut the yellow/green wire on my ECU and unplugged those two sensors and my car is perfect. I still have cruise. My motor runs perfect, no wierd things ever happen while driving. The only difference is that it doesn't limit me anymore at 115mph or 5.2k rpm in 5th.

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone with a 240sx do this. It's well worth while, easy as pie to do, and best of all............IT'S FREE!!!!!!!!!!! lol

too bad your civic can't stock swap and aftermarket mod up to 1200 hp

not to mention the front-wheel drivethe lack of torqueand the greatness of being a street clone

there does not need to be two threads on this and the last couple of posts were less that stellar. Post in the other thread and keep it freindly because I will not be.
