Install: NISMO intake QG18DE....yes! :D (56k'ers don't say I didn't warn you)

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

So back around X-mas I got my buddies NISMO intake off his Spec V. So I told myself once I hit a 1000 miles and had a decent day I'd install it, or least try to make it fit. Everything actually fit pretty well except for the adapter for the MAF, had a old one that we used and modified so it'd work with the MAF. Other then that, it fits pretty well and sounds awesome. I actually noticed a little difference in power. Here's the pics:

Tearing it all apart:

NISMO!

First half attached to the electronic throttle

Battery tray, Battery, stock restrictive airbox

Wheel off, taking apart the inner fender cover

More parts, lower airbox...etc

All done...almost

Factory intake parts...

All done w/ blue NSR coupler...lol long story

Not bad for a intake for free, plus it's NISMO.

Good stuff. You'll have a lot of fun with that.

Random question: Is the owner of the SE next to your 1.8S in the sig a member? It seems like it's one of you NSR people's brother and I don't know if he's joined.

Yeah the intake is really nice. Makes it sound a lot better.

No he's not a member yet. He's my brother. I keep trying to get him to join Nico. He is a member on B15sentra.net though.

That's sad. A lot more fun to be had with owners of every kind of Nissan, IMO.

Yeah I totally agree with you. People on B15 imo don't seem to nice as to all on Nico. I'll keep bugging him about joining, maybe he'll see the light. I can tell you he's looking to drop the SR20VE in his and then boosting that.

A lot of people look into VE+Ts, very few do them, it's an expensive proposition.

If he does, that's sweet though. I'd be curious to see how he manages all that with OBDII (unless OH is a non-emissions state? If so, I hate you.). Big project, big results.

Yeah it's def a project, if he does go through with it, I can't wait to see the outcome. Yeah he's found ways to tune it with the OBDII we'll see though. Nah Ohio isn't Non e-missions but theres always ways around it. Hey if you ever want to chat away from Nico hit me up - NSR S13 on aim or drop me a e-mail @ [email protected]
