sorry about the poor picture quality, my camera sucks. Usually the back of the car doesn't sit so low, but I just moved so the back is still full of parts and wheels etc.

Right on, very clean little setup you have there, wat's the total tally for the build, and wat downpipe are you using?

I dig the wheels on it, congrats on a job well done

I'm using the ssac downpipe but I had to have it modified to fit.

I stopped keeping track of the money but for the ka-t it's probably around 2500. The wideband, hks bov, aluminum intercooler piping, silicone couplers and t-bolts make it more expensive. Someone could have esentially the same set up with no wideband, cheaper bov, cheaper couplers and steel piping for around 2k. Maybe less.

Nice work. Very clean, with kind of an understated elegance to it. Oh, and the Work wheels are teh niceness!

Thanks for the luck, hopefully I won't need it.

If it craps out then what the hell, I'm out $150. That would just give me more reason to upgrade to a t3/t4 or something like that.

Very nice, almost sleeperish, you should hit up that intercooler and piping with some of Swain Technologys black coolant coat, 1 for added protection and 2 for slighty hidden looks.

I'm guessing the manifold is an ebay set up, shame it does look really nice. I think if I was to go that route I would buy one, take it to a nice metal shop, source my own metal and have them do one just better and with added braces.

How much power are you putting down with your setup? If you dont/havent dynoed yet, what are you estimating? Also how much boost are you running? I have almost the exact same setup minus the ssqv, wideband, and fmic. Ive got rfl and smic, but im just wondering what your running and your results since i will have a fmic sooner or later and a wideband is coming up also. Has anyone tried that black coolant spray? If i get an fmic from johnny racecar or an ebay one id probably paint mine, but jw if anyones had any experience with it. Looks good, have fun with it....Wish i had some nice coils

I don't know how much power it makes. I haven't had it dyno'd, that will probably come in may, possibly march. I don't really have it tuned yet either but it pulls pretty freakin hard. Harder than my 87' rx-7 tII with some slight mods.

I'm guessing from other peoples results that the power is probably somewhere between 190-220hp. Hopefully I am closer to 220. Torque is probably 200+.

I am running the stock pressure of the sr t-25, .5 bar.

The coupling bolt being so close to the + battery terminal. It took me a minute, but it just could be the angle of the pic.

Howbout the hose going from the coldpipe to the valvecover?

I re-routed the valve cover hose, it's no longer connected to the cold pipe. The strut bar is sitting in the back seat, I took it off when doing the turbo install and haven't put it back on yet. The t-bolt isn't really that close to the battery terminal.

Did you get the SR20 SSAC downpipe? And if you did, did it just bolt up to the dump tube on the KA or did the DP need to be modified?

Actually I bought the whole ca18det "turbo-back" kit from SSAC. From looking at their website I think the "turbo-back" kits (sr20, ca18, ka24) are all the same.

Either way the DP did not match up and had to be modified. I took it to an exhaust place and they added a small piece to get everything to match up.

Also the transmission mount for the DP did not match up either, so he cut that off and re-welded it at the correct spot.

The next time I am under the car I will take some pics of everything, I hear this is a common problem with the SSAC setup e.g. DP not fitting.

HOLY Sh*t man I know where you live! I used to live next door to all of that new Jensen Commercial property. I was like "hey an Iowan, hey Story County plates, HEY I know those apartments!" Cool to see someone so close on the board since not a whole lot of guys drive Nissans in Iowa. It's all domestic or ricified civics.

I've got an RB25 near completion so maybe we can meet up and shoot the breeze sometime.

thanks for the compliments

I got my coils from here http://www.ma-motorsports.com/ , I was happy with the service. Everything went smoothly, and best price available.

Statix - thanks, I've had that car since I was 17, (5 years) it was my first automotive love and the reason I got into cars.

Darius - We should definately get together sometime, I'd like to see your car. Hell, I'd help you with your project if you wanted. I love excuses to work on cars. PM me if you wanna meet up sometime.

I'd like to ride in a T25 KA-T... it seems liek boost would be instant.. I have a T3 super 60 and I don't like how it's spooling when I get on the highway at 60mph..

Looks like a good clean install. Those little turbos sure are fun on the street with the "insta-boost" feature. LOL

Keep rockin' the KA-T and keep up the good work for any future projects.

Oh yeah, don't forget to burn your RX-7 to the ground pretty soon. It needs it. (J/K)
