I have no idea how to match rim to tire, is there a set of rules you go by or what? Here are the rims

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I'm assuming that those rims will fit an s13? They will right?

While im at it, what does everyone think about putting them on my s13?

thats a 5 lug rim, your car is 4 lug, so you need a 4 lug rim.. so no they wont fit.. if you can find them in 4 lug they will..

i like those rims i would get them for my s14.. i heard good things about them my only concern is how strong will they be?

as for tire size front 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 rear 245/45/17i dont think s13 can take bigger out back without mod to fendres..

the offset should be ok might have issue with big breaks tho.. not sure..

over all nice looking rims

your stock wheels look much better, but if you insist on those wheels:

do a 5lug conversion. that specific auction is for 5lug wheels.Front - 215/45-17 Rear - 225/45-17, 235/40-17, 245/40-17, 255/40-17Some rear sizes are more readily available than others. For example, only a handful of tire manufacturers build 235/40-17 and 245/40-17 but 225/45-17 is commonplace for just about every tire maker.

Search in our wheel/tire forum. Don't even search. The answer to your exact question was given twice this week. Read the first page of threads. Then search.

We cover these sizes and offsets every week at least once. Instead of locking this telling you to eat Sh** like another board does, I'd recommend checking out our little wheel/tire sub-forum where the info is kept.

Doh, I thought we had a rim/tire forum but I was looking and didn't see. That's my bad :-(

Look what I found, a 4 lug!

So I guess those would fit then, and the same size tire you said earlier will fit it?

Your car's bolt pattern is 4x114.3 not 4x108.Offset will work. Just not as super flush as some people like to jive about.

Those rims look pretty good, I'd say go for them. Did a chop on them and your car needed a drop badly so I did it for you.

17x7+38? Gross.

I despise sportmax wheels. 20+lbs for 17x7 just screams "well designed wheels are expensive so we just kept pouring potmetal until we think its got more than a snowballs chance in hell at not breaking in half a mile down the road."

The wheels don't look bad. but their sizes and weights just scream poor preformance.

I consider 17x8 +35 the bare minimum. 17x7 wheels never look good on 240SXs from any angle other than looking straight at the side.

^^I concur.

8" +35 should be your model, and you go wider and lower offset from there.

But you should still be aware of IF these particular rims will fit. Once the IF is answered, then we move to HOW will they fit, and look.

Cover all your bases < before > buying!

ive always thought of 7.5 as my minimum width, probably because my first and still my number one set of wheels i want are bronze ce28n's, they only come in 7.5 or 8.5 though, maybe i should get 8.5

as far as even width wheels like weds and the 5zigens yes 8 inch minimum
