I bought a new car this past Tuesday... I'm so damn giddy about it, I can hardly contain myself...

As most of you know, we sold NICOmom's Pathfinder a couple months back, and she promptly "adopted" the Q45.

Since gas was $3+ per gallon, I bought a $500 "beater car" (95 G20t 5-sp) to use as a daily (and to give to my son, who's 14 and about to start driving).

I've been casually looking for this car for about 3 months, but I'm pretty picky... Talk about an IMPOSSIBLE car to find, and the few I found were either the WRONG color exterior or interior, didn't have the FEATURES I wanted, or were WAY overpriced.

Finally ran across this one in Atlanta.... 2003.5, 30K miles, 6-speed, Brembos, Diamond Graphite, Willow interior, Aero Package, Sport Package, Premium Package, and Navigation... brand new 245/45/18 Michelin Pilot Sports, lady-owned, sold and serviced at the same dealership, never left Georgia....

I'll be flying out to pick it up the day after Christmas. I'll probably be a nervous mess by then!!

SOOOOOO, without further ado, I proudly introduce you to the car that will soon be wearing AZ plates reading "NICO 1".

Very fine machine indeed, just a bit too heavy for my taste.

And no, I couldn't be able to afford one; yet

Very nice! Congrats. It's very cool that you found the exact car you wanted. Can't wait to see more pics.

So, once you take possession of it, how many hours will pass before you start modding it?

Very nice Greg,I simply love those cars, they are truly amazing. I've never driven one, but from what I hear they drive great. I love the exterior styling, looks so sharp. That pop-up navi is quite nice too.

If I wasn't a high school student, and had the funds for a 30-40K vehicle, that would be my top choice.

Thanks!

BTW, I paid nowhere NEAR that much for it. I got it for less than KBB trade-in, which made it a cinch to pull the trigger.

Not much need for a 5-seater for me, since I'm usually alone in the car.

The Q will still be our "whole family" car, and I'll still use the G20 as a "shop truck" and of course the Vert will see some action November to March (when it's cool out).

Black was my #1 choice, but it's just not practical in AZ.

No plans to mod it - i have to figure out how to PAY for it first.

Everything I own is modded...

It starts out with "I'm just gonna put WHEELS on it."

Next thing I know, it's disassembled in my garage for 4 months, costing twice what I planned, and making my only remaining hair turn gray.

Besides, wheels for THIS one (the ones I prefer) ain't cheap.

Nothing beats finding a great deal, it makes the wait worth it.

Just some ideas

Nissan really didn't give anyone too much to change on that car though. I love those wheels, I like them way better than the newer '05 wheels. I'd love to grab a set and paint them a deep gloss black for my S14.

Congrats, I am also one of the many who envy you

My girlfriend's grandparents own a '03 G35 but rarely ever drive it (I can't wait until Im old enough to have a fleet of sweet cars to leave in the garage) and they were talking about giving it to her for graduation. If that happens, I know she's a keeper

Wow, *identical* to the one we had at BMW that I have been driving around for the past month or so, except ours didnt' have the NAV. Those 6spd G35C's are definately a sweet ride, I enjoyed it more each time I drove it. You simply cannot beat the exhaust note, and it is so easy to notice how much more that car has lurking under the hood and can be exposed with a few minor 'breathe-better' mods.

Ok so anyway, congrats Greg, good luck with it, it looks gorgeous. I got screwed on a car in Atlanta, so hopefully your luck is better than mine haha.

I love how everyone expects me to know what wheels are on those cars, what kind of paint they have, what the VIN numbers are and what the drivers had for breakfast this morning.....

I just got them off Google images, and yes, those look vaguely like 57c's to me (on the silver Impul car). And no, I have no freakin' idea whether it's OEM paint or not.

The second pic you posted, Racing Hart J8's. RH also offers J5's which are of similar spoke style but instead of 8 spokes, has 5 dual spokes in the typical star pattern.

Edit: Boom.

G35c is a beautiful car. I love the exhaust note from it and the Z33. Looks like the NICO booth at events got a little nicer.

Very Nice find! Me and my GF have been looking for a G35 Coupe for about 6-8 months now. She gived up and agree to the S14 for now! And everyone we see is around 26k+ for a 6 speed Coupe. If you don't mind I ask how did you find it? Since I live in GA has you know and I have not seen one less then 26K has clean has that! Its her dream car, so I want to find her one for X-Mas. (No I am not rich, I work over 50 hours a week, I just watch what I spend and stuff)
