I don't know too much about piston engines, but I do a sock is not a quick fix for anything pressurized.

Piston engines aren't as different from rotaries as you probably think. Principles are the same, suck bang blow, but the mechanisms are different.

You'll have to get over to Dave's house while he still has his CA disassembled. We can walk you through what everything does. Not quite as straightforward as a rotary, but close.

What a dumb f-ing bastard. He owns a BMW M3, but can't "afford" to get the goddamned sock removed from his freaking engine. God, some people shouldn't be allowed to live, much less own such cars.

As an M3 owner, I can tell you he was disowned. I don't know what his deal was. A real M3 owner would've gotten an oil cap that same day. Use your other car or get a ride god damnit. The idiocy of some people is horrifying.

That is way dumb. I concur that his car owner rights should be revoked.

On another note a buddy of mine with an 88 accord used duck tape when he lost his oil cap. He called me over to his car and popped the hood and said check this out. I almost died laughing.

WHAT? 'it's full!' teehee!

What a retard. He pratically destroyed his engine because he was too f'ing lazy to look for a dropped cap. Which begs the question, the place he bought oil from probably sold replacement oil caps (if it was a Kmart/Walmart/etc or something like that)

Those guys are went way too easy on him. BMWs aren't much of a driving machine with a sock wrapped around a bump stick.
