I have been fighting with power steering failure for a while now, I have come to the end of my rope and dont know where to turn hope someone here has some clues..
*backstory*
Bought the car and put new engine in, noted a leak in the power steering pressure line. Drove it for a while with no p/s but i put some fluid in and it would work great untill the fluid ran out.
Had the p/s line repaired, put it back on and the p/s did not work, pump was making a loud rrrr sound, turned out when the line was repaired he brazed an end shut, np, fixed that and now i had it pressure tested and it flows correctly.
Unfortunatly I still have no power steering, ive tried bleeding the air for many many hours, it seems that the bubbles refuse to stop, when i run it for say 5 min the fluid becomes so airrated it looks like cream, and the p/s will only work for a few min before the fluid becomes airaited. I cant figure out why its doing this I looked for leaks throughout the system and there is no fluid escpaing it at all, with as much pressure that it is under i imagine it would leak if there was a hole or loose line..The rack worked prior putting on the new line, so i cant imagine that is the problem, but the pump i thought maybe burnt out when it was pressure locked, but i have tried a new pump as well with the same results...
Any ideas?
Thanks
