Car: 1992 Nissan 240sx SE (RWD)Engine Stock: KA24DE 2.4L Dual Cam 4cyl (155hp)Engine Being Swapped In: SR20DET 2.0L Dual Cam TURBO 4cyl (205hp)Swappers: Phil, Cory, Ken, Levi, Jorge, Mark

Day 1 (11.17.05)Basicly, no pictures for today, Cory and I disconnected the upper harness from the KA engine. This took us about 2 hours to complete. It's not very easy doing this at 7pm at night, Cory and I also started to replace the stock fuel pump with a High Pressure 255LPH pump from Walbro.

Day 2 (11.18.05)Levi, Ken and Cory were all here today. We got started about 5:45 or 6pm tonight. We disconnected the remainder of the lines hoses and electrical wiring and Pulled out the KA. PICTURES BELOW!

Day 3 (11.19.05)So far today i've just been cleaning up the engine bay. seeing as it is saturday, ive been working on it since about 6:30am today. basicly pressure washed, scrubbed, detailed and waxed the engine bay up so its nice and clena and shiny. I also placed the new 300zx Fuel filter in and connected the bottom lines. CHECK BACK TONIGHT WE MAY GET THE SR ENGINE IN TODAY! I will get some more pictures when its a little bit lighter outside

Day 4 (11.20.05)We got the engine in tonight despite the rain. We ran into a few problems with clearnance on the firewall, but there seems to always be some problems like that when it comes to these engine swaps. tomorrow after work, Levi should be stopping by, hopefully we get everything all hooked up. PICS soon

Day 5-8Well the past few days have been a literal blur. Everything went in very smoothly and now we are just working out the bugs. Right now all thats left is figuring out what to do about the throttle cable being too short, the wiring problem and putting coolant in it and getting it drivable. here are some current pictures. LOOKS finished but trust me, its far from that. Hey, at least we know it runs

Day 10 (11.25.05)ITS ALIVE AND DRIVING! Tonight with the help of Mark and Cory and a little help from Levi finding my boost leak. we got it to be drivable. cory gets mad props tho for spending nearly 4 hours tonight until 12am working most of the remaining bugs out. She now pulls pretty good but still isnt pulling like a "raped ape" as Cory put it. There are still some bugs to be worked out of it, but believe me it feels 10 times better than it did.

i read in the nivember issue of modified mag that the ka and sr manual transmission X members were the same. im gonna go try to find the magazine now to verify it. EDIT yeah the mag i have says the x member from either the s13 or s14 will work

im pretty sure that the xmembers on the sr and ka are the same. they are the same transmission just different bell housings and a different 5th gear. they should be exactly the same. everyone i know used their ka xmember for their sr's
