Never used it on a car, so Id read the bottle/try on a test area to make sure it doesn't hurt paint, but goo-be-gone seems to be pretty good stuff for adhesives..Nismochick240 wrote:did you use anything to get off any glue
Yeah, the actual stripe came off easily, it was just the adhesive that took some work. I think I used this **** called "Oops". Definitely test it on the paint in an unnoticeable area before going crazy with it.Nismochick240 wrote:SWEET!! i thought about doing this too!!! i have a red hatch also! lol! how long did it take you to do it? what did you use to get all the glue-ish stuff off? i might do it 2nite before the drift expo tomorrow!
That's how mine was. I took the time on the front bumper but didnt even bother on the back because my car is black anyway so its not too much of an eyesore. good luckstev0 wrote:They have some crappy material that pulls off in two layers. The bottom layer won't really come off by simply picking a corner and pulling it off. I have some Goo-Gone, should I just use that and a fingernail with patience, or what?
This man knows what he is talking about, a sample credit card was my main weapon in my arsenal when I removed my pinstripe. It also is a lot easier when you trim the credit car to the size of the pinstripe, that way you can just run it down the indentation.stev0 wrote:a credit card/plastic putty knife
