say you have a removable steering wheel but you probably look stupid to carry that thing around, what if you put it in the trunk and have a chain and combination lock chained to something in the back?

that's why you get a little 12 inch wheel that can fit in a backpack

I have one because I have to park my car in a private lot that I have to take a bus to. I also take out the ignition switch fuse. Even if you put the wheel in the trunk you're still slowing the theif down considerably.

Yeah any time i have to park my car in a "questionable" location I turn the wheels full lock in one direction (more difficult for someone to tow), pop the hood and remove the ignition fuse, and unplug random things. Typicaly if it dosent start, they aren't going to stick around and troubleshoot a car they are trying to steal......... at least i hope not.......

yes, thanks for sharing

[just kidding] now who's your friend & where does he live? [/just kidding]

but, yea, pulling the fuel pump & ignition fuses as well as other stuff are cheap & simple deterrants instead of the blaring alarm horn that every1 ignores anyways...

the only drawback is that the fuse socket may get worn from the repetative in-&-out I had 1 fuse socket that became that way & exhibit a blown fuse symptom till i figured it out

I opt for getting a simple switch wired in series & hidden somewhere else besides the glovebox

Unless he is specificly after a 240 then he would move on when he saw no wheel. if it takes more then a minute to steal a theif is running a big risk.

it would be awesome to have a remote kill switch... so if you saw them stealing your car you could press a button, and kick their a$$

even better, have it kill the car and lock them inside, and then release angry killer bees from a secret compartment.

I need to find a good place for a kill switch..I have thought about it before..just not enough to actually hook one up.. Oh..and the no steering wheel thing..Just hope the theif dosent happen to be carrying around a pair of vise-grips or channel-locks.. I have always wanted to drive a car steering with vice-grips for some reason..lol
