I am prepping an RB26DETT for use in an S15. The engine is fully built and I wanted to retain the stock oil pan. The primary reason was the fact that it bolted in with the transmission. Anyways, I had the diff chopped off and some grinding and seling resulted in a fairly light and very functional cast aluninum oil pan. I enclosed some pictures just in case someone was actually interested. I have more pictures if anyone wants them posted let me know.

I gave that one to speed factory in trade for the mod you see above. Don't worry though, I will not disappoint in coming up with some weird stuff in the near future.

Cursed, give me a front shot of the GTR oil pan. Reason being, I did the same thing as you with cutting off the diff. But, when I went to put it on, I "thought" I had cut enough off the pan and I was wrong, it didn't fit. So I had to drop the cross-member and grind down the oil pan. I just want to make sure that you don't have to do the same with yours.....

I will have to take that picture this weekend when I am up at the shop. I know that we got all of the diff housing off all the way to the pan itself. What specific area are you talking about so I make sure I get this picture right? Thanks in advance for the help.

Take a picture from the front of the oil pan, so I can see shape of the sides versus the front. Umm, kinda like, if the oil pan was on the engine, put the camera on the crank pulley side of the oil pan and take a picture. I'll compare yours to mine and I'll let you know. Also, the drivers side of the oil pan where the center axle come out needs to be cut down as well.....

The center axle area was completely removed on noth sides. I did not take any pictures this weekend because I was on a training exercise. I will get them up as soon as I can. Here are some pics tat I did take last weekend with the pan on the engine.

And one more. Sorry for the poor quality but I had to reduce the quality to get them down to size.

That looks like it should clear. I was mainly concerned about the passenger's side of the oil pan, because I didn't cut "all" of it off. I had to cut the rest off after I tried mounting the engine. Doing so required me to drop the subframe numerous times to make sure I had adequate clearance. Good job man.

One of the best modified 26 sumps I've seen so far. Not bad at all.

i had to take down the webbings on the bottom for my s14 swap with mckinney mounts so it would clear and also the driver side of the pan on a LHD 240sx you have to take down the axle as far as you can to clear the rack and pinion.
