Well I been talking to someone online for alittle bit, he has been looking for a 240sx for 6 months and says hes been researching. So I IM'd him the other day and he said he brought a 240sx. I congrad's him on the purchase and asked him what kind. 1989 240sx ... I asked him for how much and when he told me $8200. I was expecting some kind of RB25det swapped S13. Well he sent me pictures and I was truely disappointed.

NEAT FAKE BOMEX FRONT BUMPER w/o sideskirts!! LOLOL

WHOA, $1,200 WING

WHOA, WEST COAST CUSTOMS INTERIOR without a radio??

GREAT SUNKEN BATTLESHIP YOU GOT THERE

He is trying to tell me its immaculate and has a $4K paint job.. Boo-hoo, it could have diamonds in the paint, there is no way someone would pay $8200 for this car.

Then they provide me with the "MOD" list.. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!

1989 Nissan 240sx, 5spd manual trans. New crate motor 2.2 KA24E <2000miles.Modifications include power stop drilled rotors w/pads, adjustable coilover shocks and springs,Konig rythm 17"rims,Kumho tires,Custom paint, J.S.P. rear spoiler,Extreme Dimensions front facia, new windshield, Hotshot cold air intake, Hotshot ceramic coated header, stainless steel exhaust, new condenser and A/C lines, new belts and hoses, new clutch, new battery.

SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD BUY TO ME... HAHA.. SIKKEEE... I just hate when other folks take advantage of other people when selling them a car when they have no idea about the car. OH WELL... I can't wait for 3f3f... oh am I going to cash out on some 17 year old punk!

That's pretty ridiculous.

I believe it though, good stock S13's (5spd, nice condition, >100k) are inching up towards the $5000 mark. Not that that's necessarily justified, but it happens all the time.

Well put together AE86's have been seeing five figures around here a couple times recently, that really blew my mind.

actually it had a "2.2 KA24E"

I knew you could raise displacements, no clue you could lower them though

sure you can...like the opsite of stroking it, short piston travel = higher reving in general. I kinda think that its a 2.4L and the owner just got it wrong..

I may very well be selling my stock '98 LE 5spd (84k) to buy a swapped '95 that's for sale around here. I imagine that I can easily get $10k for it.

A '98 Auto with 96k on it sold for $10k around here awhile ago, and now there's another one up for sale that's similar. My 5spd will look like a screamin' deal next to that (and the other non-swapped '98 selling for $13.5k, lol).

I don't get why people take the AC out if it's not broken... Why don't you just turn the thing off when you want that extra power? without the AC clutch engaged the power use is minimal and it's not like the system weighs that much?
