Can someone explain the differences in fuel injectors with different color codes? I have a 91Q. About a year ago I replaced all my original injectors (green) with new ones (orange). The old green injectors ohmed at around 12.7. The new orange injectors (from Joe at Scottsdale Infiniti) ohmed at around 16.7.

With the new injectors, the car runs perfectly, smooth and strong. The only difference is that my idle now runs around 550 - 600 RPM which produces a very slight vibration. With the old injectors (the green ones) my idle ran around 700 - 750 which produced no detectable vibration (when all injectors were good). With my new injectors I can use the gas pedal to raise RPM to 700 and at that speed there is no vibration.

My idle is rock solid; no searching or changes. It just seems a llttle low which creates the slight vibration that wasn't there before. I've tried adjusting my IAC, but that does nothing except raises my cold idle.

Coould this lower idle speed be explained by the different color code on the injectors?

Thanks

Tim

The new ohm readings make me wonder about your meter... they really shouldn't have been that high...

When you set your base idle with the AAC valve, did you unplug it first? Try setting it with the engine fully warmed and AAC unplugged.

I don't think the injector color should have anything to do with idle speed...
