Chinese cars are terribly made, Cherry, Geely, any of those brands. My cousin in China owns a Geely Hatchback. Its sports a 1.05 litre engine and is the most poorly made hunk of crap I've ever seen. Its only a few years old and the rear passenger door has trouble closing.

When he I told him I owned a nissan he was rather impressed. And this guy is a doctor. I'd hate to live in china.

The best part is how completely worthless the airbag is. Your head hits it, then the entire dash and steering column swing back at you.

You are the crumple zone!

Why would a country allow the sale of this car within their borders?

It looks like you could total that car with a speed bump. Seeing that crash makes me feel safe in my s13.

Iniertia my friend. S14's are pigs compared to the S13. Especially my 2500lb S13 coupe. Ok, so maybe I'm full of crap...

S14's are not that much heavier than S13's. Now that we got that out of the way, I dont know the reason for why it has better test results (driver only) but its possible that they raised standards in the duration of that generation from the test results I pulled (91' and 95'), Perhaps the test results are closer for the years 94' and 95, or maybe the standards are higher for cars with airbags, since if you're not wearing your seatbelt, the airbag can kill you.
