This is what the dealership gave me, and it works for one remote, but I could not get it to work for 2 remotes, for some reason.

There are not many remotes out thete that still beep. I have one out of the 6 that still beeps.

Have you ran the diagnostic on the body control module? It is very in-depth, and tests every button on the car. You may have a module not communicating. This problem caused Layla to not program a remote.

Once you get it programmed, you should be able to clikc lock and the car should lock and flash the lights.

Yes, but you must make sure the key goes all the way in each time. I kept forgetting to open the trunk first. I did it inside the car, with the driver's door closed. I used the trunk release button on the door, and the lock/unlock buttons on the driver's door.

It is in the "EL" section of the service manual, starting on page 77. There are several diagnostics you can run on the car.

All I needed was to add remotes to my receiver. I got new units for about 1/3 dealer price for my 99 I30 & 94 J30 on -

They seem to have remotes & instructions for everything on their site.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Open the trunk.2. Close and lock all doors.3. Insert and remove the key from the ignition six (6) times within ten (10) seconds.4. Manually unlock and lock the driver’s door once (1) to enable “setting” mode.5. For additional information, please refer to page BF-38 of the 1993 and 1994 J30 Service Manuals; page BF-17 of the 1993 G20 Service Manual Supplement; and page EL-148 of the 1994 Q45 Service Manual.
Very good info, note that this procedure must be followed EXACTLY on the G50, but it does work for up to 4 remotes (i just proved that). here's my notes that may make it easier for first pass success:SERVICE PROCEDURE:

While sitting inside the vehicle:0. close the drivers door.1. Open the trunk.2. (Close and) lock all doors. <<superfluous, as the doors were closed in step 0, but the significant thing is to lock with either the manual finger, or the lock button on the door, but DO NOT use the remote yet.>>

3. Insert and remove the key from the ignition six (6) times within ten (10) seconds. <<Don't expect anything to happen on a G50 at this point. My Y33 will flash the blinkers 2x at this point>> 4. Manually unlock and lock the driver’s door once (1) to enable “setting” mode.5. Push the lock button <<MUST be the LOCK button>>on the new remote controller once (1), just long enough to hear it beep, within five (5) seconds of completing step 4. <<press it twice and you're hosed. again, don't expect anything to happen on a G50 at this point>>6. If additional remotes are needed (up to 3), repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional remote immediately after programming the first remote.

<<now press a button on each remote to confirm functionality.>>

Note: A total of four (4) remotes can be programmed to function on the same vehicle.
