After seeing that my friend who owns an integra get a set of hid's for 280 of a vendor on a honda forum, I was eager to see if they carried H1's and get a set for myself.

I've never heard of the braind Kaixen before, but it appears to be korean, hopefully it lasts a while.

since there was absolutely no space to take the bulbs out, I had to take the headlights off.

It also said that I have to drill a 23mm hole into the back of the headlight cap, which worried me, but it came with a rubber seal and an inlet for the 4 huge wires, so I had to or else I wouldnt be able to install it.

The mass of wires hanging out.

One hid bulb, one Sylvania silverstar.

The cutoff from the projectors are excellent. This car should've came with hids.

And a couple night shots.

I'd have to say I'm pretty satisfied with it, the color temperature is 6000k which is supposed to be white, but it closes in on blue, especially in pictures.

How much did that kit cost you? Right now, I'm in the process of 'whiting out' my entire front end. Clear corners, PIAA white bulbs for the corner lights, headlights, turn lights, the lights the front bumper turn lights, and foglights are next on the list.

Haha. I'm fine with stock. Its a play/drift car it will get messed up and crashed. Just easier to replace stock body panels and lights. I'm a big fan of decent lighting. Some times driving in the city I can't tell I even have my lights on unless I can see the glare of 2 headlight on a bumper.

It cost me 280, though I had to go pick it up because I didnt want to pay the extra 20 bucks to have it shipped.

Yeah, I havent been following up on how much these kits cost, it seemed like a reasonable price, then again i'm unfamiliar with the brands as well.

btw, are you still running hids on your 240?

The ballast and ignitor are seperate units, and the lumens is supposed to be 3000 for the 6000k color temp.

I've had that same Kaixen kit in my Kouki for six months now and I haven't had a problem. I really like them at night and I agree that they look great. The projectors make the cutoff awesome.

They look really good man! I may have to pick some up for my car. Although, with the HIDS the parking lamps look some what out of place. Also, do they come with blubs for the high beams?

The hids are low beams only, although I'm curious how it would look.

And yeah, my parking lamps look horribly out of place, Im not sure if theyve dimmed over time or if they look like that stock, because I dont want to get super bright parking lamps like many ricer cars around here. I'll just have to buy one and see.

A friend of mine worked at a body shop and and got them off of a wrecked 350. It wasn't to hard to put them in. I just took the little ring around the stock bulbs and used some epoxy to put them in. Then just wired em up and mounted the ballasts. I got a steal for them 50 bucks for bulbs and ballasts. I also got a set of kouki tails for 20 bucks. It's nice to know people at body shops.

Im curious now. Does anyone have any pictures of HID's on zenki's? If it looks good i may just have to buy myself some glass headlights and a kit.

Nice.... Can you get some shots from farther away though, and some head on ones too just to get an idea of how much glare there is from a distance?

Looks like a good amount of glare, but who cares as long as its not a cop.

Have you ever been pulled over for them?

So what type of kit is that and how much did it run you? Does look like a good amount of glare though. I know that our lights dont have as sharp a cut-off as the kouki's, i wonder if the german glass ones are any better with the cut-off though.
