Figured I'd share some pictures I've taken of the Z this week and last sunday. They don't really do it justice (ask slydin240 or others who have seen it) but hopefully you get the idea. Anyways...enjoy the pics

Also, just remembered to post about it, I'll be at HIN Cleveland with the Z this Saturday, if anybody is going stop by and say hi. I'm sure I'll have a ton of pictures from that as well to share with everybody. Thanks for looking!

Besides the two tachs, I'm quite impressed. I didn't think I'd like the mirrors under the hood but it actually looks pretty sweet.

Nice work!

why does everyone hate on having aftermarket tachs? The stock one is not accurate, so why not get one that actually works well. Shift lights are also very helpful. I must say, that is the most throughly(spelling) done Z I have ever seen. Very nice work.

I hate aftermarket tachs cause they are huge and ugly. The way I do it is that I dont even need to look at the tack to see when to shift and the shiftlight is also useless for me. I just do it by the sound of the engine. And what are you talking about by factory tachs not being accurate. What are they off by like 1000 rpms 500? I would seriously doubt it.

they may be ugly, but it is certainly functional. In any type of racing, you are going to shave off time by inspecting dyno graphs and calculating shift points, then using those points. I really doubt that anyone can tell the difference between 5.5 and 6k rpms. Besides, no body wants to put their concentration into listening and estimating rpm levels. And shifting at plus or minus 500 rpms from the correct point in every gear will cost you. I have heard of the stock tachs being off by 1000 in some cars, but Im not saying that that is common. Either way, if you want to shift exactly, but dont want to be "watching" the tach, a more accurate aftermarket tach and shiftlight is the way to go.

Your car does strange things to me...It's so ricey, at least IMO, and yet it's so sexy.

The two aren't supposed to go together.

Stop playing with my head!!!!!!

I thought that guy was holding a golf club for a second. Wierd angle. Cool pic, though.

I dont think its ricey, there is way more functionality in that car than stuff for show, and I dont want to hear anyone complain about stickers, because Im sure this guy is actually supported by those companies, and is supporting them right back, as anyone should.

Thanks man As for the tach, I went with the autometer one for a couple reasons, stock tach is off by 300-400rpms, the AM one has a shift light, and at some point, when I finally master electrical I plan to fab up a custom gauge cluster and eliminate the stock one and all the other stock gauges

Haha....the Z has that effect on a lot of people. Love it or hate it, it always draws a crowd. And actually, as naed240sx correctly stated, just about everything is for a functional reason on the car, not ricey just to do it stuff

Yeah I like them a lot, kinda unique. They're a plexi material and velcro to the under side of the hood. Doesn't take but 2 mintues to take them off and on. Also if I drop one I don't have to worry about glass in the engine bay cause they don't break.

Thanks for all the comments guys, glad you like the Z

I figured as much. I really don't see how an aftermarket tach could be any more accurate. Then again, I've always heard that readings from an SAFC and the like are more accurate than the stock tach too, so I guess it's possible... though, according to my SAFC, my stock tach is dead on.

I think it just looks awkward to have two, but I can see your point.

If you had as much time and money invested in your car like Jerry does you would do everything you can to protect it. 300-400 RPMS is alot to be off in that car. Those pictures do it no justice at all. If you haven't seen it in person you are totally missing out. It is the nicest, cleanest Z I have EVER seen. There is absolutly no rice on this car. Jerry's Z is pure function.

Here's the pics I have from the show:

Jerry - Good Luck at HIN. We can't make it up for it but I'm sure you'll bring home a win!

Hey man...wheres that there back seat in that there thingy. It aint a real car unless you can fit 5 people in it. LOL

Jerry, that car is pure sex. Some day when I am back stateside, I am driving to Michigan just to go for a ride in it. Maybe by then, it will have more nutz than you know what to do with.

SERIOUSLY, ANYONE that mentions the word "rice" or "ricey" is getting banned. Little do you guys know, he has about 600RWHP. That body kit he has tastefully makes the Z look great. Don't be morons please.

Good call man. I think that term gets over used anyway.

Jerry - you need a pic of that bad machine burning the Kumho's off the back end, oh wait your car is pearl white (right?) and big smokey burnouts and a white car don't mix.

Clean Z you got there! How's the intercooler sprayer working out? Noticeable difference in power?
