Well I finally got my new Bronze 5zigen (17x8 +35mm 4lug) wheels.

They were (thankfully) a bit less shiny than I had feared they'd turn out to be. The wheel is realistically a dark bronze and not the flashy gold/bronze wheels that you see on the STIs. It¡'s got almost a two-tone thing going as there are two colors of bronze. If you look real close you can see the darker bronze on the inner ring of the wheel where the valve stem is located.

I also got a set of McGard wheel lug nuts and wheel locks. They come together in the set. The lugs are spline drive and require a specific socket (as do the wheel locks). I got these from Summit Racing.

In addition I grabbed a set of the Pirelli Pzero nero M&S in 225/45/17. As it snows here very often in Chicago, I could not warrant the purchase of a full set of summer tires. These ranked pretty well at tirerack.com so I went with them. (It¡'s a bit of a paradox to see a Japanese car laced in Italian tires)

So here's the stock photos (it was a rainy day so the car is covered in rain droplets).

And after ....

A pic of the lugs and wheel locks.

And some tire shots.

I know it sits a bit high as the KTS coils are the next purchase. The exhaust is on the way so no dissing the rusting muffler ...

Definitely an improvement, but +25 would've been even better... it still looks pretty sunken in the last pic.

it's actually pretty flush. the photo is a bit mis-leading. i can't say enough how much i like the tires. they're very sticky on dry... not tested on wet. it's amazing what a good set of tires can do for a car.
