They all look good. Your headlights are a lot better looking than before. What method did you ue to clean them?

I'm not a big fan of the sideskirts on the Supra, but everything else is pretty choice, I particularly like that hood.

Nice cars.

I'm glad you like it, I knew that one would be sig-worthy!

On my lights, cleaned them with orange blast, then polished with chrome polish, then buffed them out w/ meguiars cleaner wax. Worked wonders on mine! Took all of 20 minutes too.

Thanks Brad, the lights took no time and turned out great.yea suspension comes next after the insurance bill arrives My car does sit high compared to the supra!

How is the supra riced out ????????? Did you take a sec to look at the engine?

<----- Dyno Slip

The car is in no way riced out.

Apparently you don't understand what riced out means. It has nothing to do with the engine, and everything to do with tacking garish **** onto your car for no reason.

Yes i know what rice is. Its mods with no performance gain. I still don't think the supra is riced out tho.

Even with that god awful body kit and swiss cheese hood? Not to mention that overbearing spoiler. I mean, really, who needs a bigger spoiler than the TT supra comes with? The car would undeniably look better without any of that stuff.

For the record, if someone has a 500hp car, they could put LED wiper-spray nozzles and Hello Kitty vinyl on it.....it's still not rice. There is *no such thing* as a 500hp "riced out" Supra. Rice is substituting the illusion of performance for actual performance, ergo, no car capable of actual performance can be rice.

This is not up for debate, class dismissed.

The Supra Is RICED OUT, with a narrow powerband. The Bodykit and hood look awful.

Ill be gone by the time he spools.

I agree, supra = rice. I'd respect it a whole lot more if the outside was stock. I think it looks horrible. But hey, your photos came out really good. What kind of camera did you use?

Wrong. Rice is characterized by poor styling and useless parts, regardless of the actual performance of the car.

I am never wrong.

Case in Point:

Light-up LED valve stems are generally pretty damn rice.

Imamura's 400hp Apex'i D1 FD3S has Light-up LED valve stems.

Imamura's 400hp Apex'i D1 FD3S is by no definition rice, this is not debatable.

And thus, you suck.

Rice is posing as someone or something you aren't. It's GT-R badges on a Cavalier, or knock-off Nismo wheels, or a 10,000rpm tach with a 6500rpm redline, or a huge wing on a FWD car, etc...

This is how we keep the definition objective, and keep ourselves from arguing about it and making damned threads about it all the time.

It is not...I repeat not...just a subjective term applied to styling that you personally happen not to like. Just because you don't like, for instance, deep-dish wheels, or lip spoilers, or tint, or racing stripes, or unpainted carbon, or whatever...doesn't make it rice. Your subjective opinion doesn't define what is or isn't rice, it just defines what you may or may not personally like.

Consequently, things can be "rice" from the factory. Nonfunctional hood scoops are an excellent example.

EDIT: It may appear to you that I'm telling you what to think, as if I have the authority to do so. This, for the record, is *precisely* what I'm doing, and if you don't like it, you can jump up my a$$. Next time, when someone posts pics of their friend's nice Supra, either post something positive or don't post at all.

I'm in agreement but to me it would look better with different body work. Note: "to me." Even then I still don't consider this rice. Supras just get away with this type of stuff... even before The Fast and the Furious was released. They always have and they always will.

Now that being said nice pics and nice cars.

Looks like you just contradicted yourself, because you are in fact wrong yet again.

[/quote]No, I basically just limit it to stylings that nobody but Ray Charles would recommend. There are objective aspects to asthetics, I'm sorry to break it to you. Ever heard of matching colors, or matching lines for example?

Thank you very much.

yep. Hashiriya has been around or a while.

Can we get this put in the dictionary? "Rice is substituting the illusion of performance for actual performance"

Because if you think of it, it's not that the mods done to a car are not to your liking that makes it rice, it means you just don't like said mods.

It's the fact that the mods give the false sense of performance that do not exist.

Illusion. it's just an illusion folks.

I Don't think the Supra is riced out. Maybe it seems so to some of our members because of the mix and match of styles on the body. The sideskirts seem outlandish, maybe, but they're veilside style sideskirts. I think they're too fluid to match with the c-west style front bumper and TRD style wing. The style is by no means rice, though.

Just my opinion. I think it looks okay. Nice photos though, Cheese.

...wait a second... he says the light up valve stems are GENERALLY considerd rice.. but while on a D1 Drifting rx7 they are not because its backed up by power and other performace parts... so how is this contradicting what he previously stated??

He contradicted himself because he was wrong again and said he's never wrong. Simply because your car has actual performance parts doesn't change the fact that you have parts on it that are gaudy and non-performing.
