my turbo lexus sc300 http://www.turbo6.net^

I sold the Maxima in November, and have been working on my new project... SC300. I thought this lowboost/pumpgas shakedown pass was funny, because of the huge headstart the v8 stang gets, and look whose light flashes first

***EDIT*** Link lost.

I'd say from the driver of the mustang's shifting, he was either not trying or he couldn't shift for crap. The mustang didn't sound too healthy either.

Did you swap motors in that or just throw on a turbo kit. If you swapped motors, did you go 1JZ or 2JZ?

BTW....when i saw that, my jaw hit the floor....Fear the Soarer!

It went 11.5 @ 125 on that pass. It should visit the 9s and hopefully 8s in the near future.

It has a built 2JZ bottom end, and a slightly mod'd 2JZGTE head that gets rev'd to 9000rpm. The power is put to the ground through a chevy 3speed turbo400 transmission (rev. manual valvebody with transbrake) and a turbo LSD rear. It has a few other mods like entire fuel setup (cell, 10an lines, 1680cc injectors etc), large intake manifold, tec3 standalone, nitrous express direct port, etc.

Thats crazy. I gave up my SC300 search earlier this year and decided to build a silvia because 2JZ stuff is dam expensive.

very nice run.. i was looking for a 1jz awhile back but.. i decided with Nissan, they have more performance motors that Toyota does that u can really do things to. and also more cars you can swap the motors into also.

I am not sure where that video is... but you can find my recent 10.6 shakedown on low boost (pumpgas/wastegate setting) found on the frontpage of http://www.turbo6.net

I now tuned the car for big boost, and am eager to see it at the track It was not even efficient at the low boost range from the shakedown day.

Thats sick. Im going to do that to my sc300. Swap the stock head for a supra head and turbo. What else do you need for the head swap? (int. mani., exh. mani.) I assume its a direct bolt on right. Let me know thanks.

This car was built in no way to honor him.

I don't know how your compression will come out like that, I built the motor with CP pistons, hbeam rods, etc while I was in there. The only reason I mention that is what headgasket would you use? With aftermarket internals you can use stock GTE headgasket and know your CR is good. Also, you might as well put ARPs in while you are in there And yes, you'll need new intake & exhaust manifiolds as well as other things such as if your car is a Pre-98 you'll need to redo wiring +management as the GTE head does not use distributor

As a Lexus owner, was Michael Bolton blaring as you ran that 11.5?

Just kidding. That was awesome!
