I love how everyone quantifies the SR as JDM tyte as if it's the sole reason anyone buys the motor.

for disliking and not owning an SR20 it kinda sucks having it written on your licence plate, you have to see it every day, whether its bashing the name or not.

And anyone that cant appreciate both motors is pretty ignorant altogether, Ive had both motors (KAT and SR20) in the same chassis and they are both very capable and good motors.

well...obviously so far 2 people think im ignorant. Do people ever think before they post? or do they just use there pen15 as there brain? If you think my plate is ignorant then obviously it shows your lack of intelligence. I know im not a rocket scientist but damn do you really need to put ME down in front the whole entire nico website. Its like a nationwide slap in the face. The plate was made as a funny joke. Ive only had one person so far here locally get offended and he was a hardcore straight up SR believer and didnt like anything else. I dont hate SR motors, the plate was more of a joke and directed towards the little JDM TYTE kiddies who always come up to me and say " Man you should put an SR swap in there, it would be so bad *** ". Then i try to explain them the point of having a motor with more torque and the whole cost issue and they look dumb-founded. Why would i want to spend almost 3 grand on an sr swap when i put 1600 into my motor and its pretty damn built. The whole engine only has 2600 miles on it right now and then i spent another 1000 dollars for all the items for the turbo setup...so i have 2600 into it right now and have a built 2.4L..not a stock 2.0L and a custom turbo kit that is not ****ty looking at all. Brand new T4 turbo, new FMIC, new JGS manifold and wastegate, safc, walbro pump and other misc items. I prolly have another 200 more dollars to put into the kit and then i can start putting it together. So what would you rather have? built 2.4L with custom turbo kit that can produce lots of numbers? or a stock 2.0L w/ a wimpy t25/28 turbo that is very limited to numbers. I know alot of people on here cant get deals like i can and then again maybe some can. I know some people couldnt put a setup like i have together for this low of money but damn.

Anywho the whole plate wasnt designed for people who think im ignorant. It was made as more of a joke. Lots of people think its awesome and ive had lots of SR guys says they like it. Oh and virus i dont mind looking at my plate all day and yes i have owned an SR swap before so dont tell me that i havent when you really dont know much about me. ImportAnt knows more about me than anyone else here does and we have only met once and talked on the phone a few times. Besides i never said i hate SR's...i just prefer the bigger KA.

you're cool in my book man. I don't really know how it is everywhere else but every boosted 240sx in Kansas seems to be swapped. to every KA (whether NA or T) there are about 3-4 SR swapped 240's not counting the CAs. it seems to be cliche` for someone to buy a car and the first question asked is 'where do I get an SR for cheap?' around here. I like Lewis' idea because I get asked all the time "so where did you get your swap done?" when people see my intercooler. then i just shake my head and walk off. I know of maybe 2 other KA-t's in the area. that's it. there are a handful of Sr's and Float_6969 (moderator in the CA forum) lives in topeka. he's got a SICK Ca-swapped coupe. where's the KA love though?

To Mustangs_Suck, there are good qualities about each motor. The CA motor is easily turned into a high-revving monster (which isn't the point of this post so I won't digress further.)

Basically nobody is hating on anything here. it's just that in Northeast Kansas where Lewis and I are, everyone seems to assume SR motors are the only Nissan motors worth having. We're just out to prove them wrong

I never said you havent had an SR20, I said the current car doesnt have one and the name is on plate. And I do think its a little childish putting no SR20 on your plate, its just like the JDM tyte kids that bash on KA's because they dont know what they are talking about.

Also, I didnt mean to say you are ignorant, my second comment about people not appreciating motors goes out to everyone that has that mentality that one motor is so superior to the other. If you dont have that mentality and are doing it for the ricers kids then good for you.

Cravin I hope you dont mind but i think im gunna take your idea hahahaha thats the best Ive heard yet, for license plates haha. But ya at least youll piss some SR guys off then smoke em hahaha. Well at least I hope you have the power to back the plate up, if not thats a shame and you should smack yourself for rippin on SRs but not bein able to stay with em. But on the other hand if you have like 400+ then thats kick a s s dude!

Actually if you have a E's And F's and a licence plate frame that covers part of the lower letters (which alot of frames do) you cant tell the E's from the F's

All produce more power than the KA.

Funny you bring up the KA when you have such a cute sig. Whats wrong, can't find a CA18DE that can even outrank the "inferior" SR20DE?

*golf clap*

I back my previous comment. Every motor has its traits. At least we all agree on something. Nissan motors >*

it's a cheap way to get boost ... and the CA is pretty buildable.

i agree with you guys..... don't take things too seriously...

let's start talking sh*T about hondas or vtech or dodge neons ... lose the nissan hate ... you should all be able to admit that the plate is pretty damn funny. ... and true as well ... he doesn't have an sr20, so the plate captivates that fact. I'm done patronizing now ......
