Is that R12 or the combustible gases used as a not very good sustitute?

In responce to actually answering your question, heres what you can do. You can trim it down so that it goes about 5 (at max) degrees lower than what you set it at. Take in mind, that once you set it at 65, its at MAX COLD so it will be on 3 fan speeds and full compressor most of the time.

But this will set it up so that when you set it at 70, you can make it actually calibrate to 69, 68, 67, etc... allthe way to 65... I imagine that they used this for people who wine about the AC not being cold enough on a brand new car..

So heres the steps1. turn the ignition to ON2. press and hold the OFF switch on the climate controller3. Press the HOT button until you see the 5 on the display4. Press the fan UP button5. Then you can adjust in degrees... Use the warmer and colder things6. to save everything, press auto

If the system was left empty for a while, I strongly suggest replacing the drier and having it flushed. Moisture could have accumulated in the system.

That is definately the Quote of the Day!

I'm remodeling a house right now and often think the same thing as I keep doing stuff myself to stretch those dollars... Still coming up short, but that's the way it always works.

I checked it for the later FY33 and just turn the dial counerclockwise until you see 5 on the display, then press fan up, then adjust.
