I'm transplanting a '92 VH45DE into a '91 300ZX and I'd like to know how compatible the stock engine is with nitrous oxide. What type of set-up would be best suited to it (using independant Hayabusa throttle bodies and standalone "Emerald" engine management which I've been told may be able to control the N2O)? I'm not particularly well versed in the subject of N2O so any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
The VH, as Wes said, can handle 100-shot easily with the JWT NOS upgrade to the ECU, and a 50-shot with no ECU manipulation at all.
I dont know if i feel comfortable with that.... Id just get the JWT and call it a day, and if you want to run less, just get an adjustble pressure regulator or something.... I dont think it could compensate without detonating.....
Thanks for the welcome and the info guys. I'm doing the swap with a good mate of mine, John Dixon (a member on here) and I know John has been in contact with Slim in the past. Just read the very interesting FAQ write up on N2O which was a great help. After talking it over the other night I've decided to install uprated cams and go with the nitrous set-up (100 shot). Importing a kit is always an option but I think I need to cast about for one in the UK as well (although even when you factor in shipping and tax I imagine it will still end up being more cost effective to buy from the States as tuning accessories here in the UK are generally ridiculously over-priced )
