As far as I know, only Matt (JspecTuner) and I were there for the event and participating. A pignose S13 showed up and was there briefly and didn't interact with us, so who knows if they were Nico brethren. Anyway..on to the pics!

It was hard to get any detail since we had to stand pretty far from the action, so i left my pics and matt's full-size for maximum coolness.

Matt's fast S13:

My unfast car but at least i didn't hit any cones that day:

That three tailpipes thing is pretty funny.

BTW, is that a Lotus Elise way back in one of those photos?

Yep! There were 3 Elises at the event, all of them disappeared after the 2nd heat though (around 12:30pm)

Yeah, the M3 was wicked hawt. Had bronze kosei's on it. I couldn't get any pics of it running because stupid cars drove by in front of my shot.

Bah! Non-autocrossers wouldn't know about the event, although Jspec posted stuff about the Ripken autocrosses throughout the meet thread we have in the other forum. Here's the site to pre-register for the next event: http://www.myautoevents.comHere's the Philly SCCA's site: http://www.phillyscca.comHere's another site with dates: http://www.autox4u.com

Your'e coming to the next one Fred !

I froze my *** off Sunday at the auto-x here in Indy. It's so addictive. I love sliding a 240 through cones and not having to worry about cops, kids and those damned minivans/SUV's. Do you guys run in the STS class? I get stuck in that class even though my only mods as of right now are wheels and tires. When I get some power under the hood I'm going to hook up with some of the driving clubs around here and do lapping days.

How did you two finish? I actually took second in my class and got a "trophy"!

Repoman: I run STS class, i have i/e/and suspension upgrades. I haven't autoxed in a year and it rained during my heat, best time i posted was 61.479 and i was 4th place out of.. i dunno how many, but i'm sure i was last

Jspec was in SM class (street mod) he was up against all the tuned Coopers, Bimmers, RX-7's, Sti's,etc ---an even tougher crowd.

FTD was 44 sec I think. Average was 50's range for everybody else except the best drivers in SM and Pro Stock classes.

Overall, i didn't hit cones, and i missed one gate of cones, but no one noticed (which was my best time that lap)

Yeah I got 4th in SM, got beat by a EVO8, a AWD DSM with hoosiers, and a M3. I beat the same EVO8 with its alternate driver, a turbo civic and a few other cars (cant find out what they were ). Its sucks having all this power and not being able to lay it down because of my open differential. My goal is to at least place second before the end of the year, which would be great concidering what a noob I am at autocross.

I'm 3rd place over all in my class for the season so far

[QUOTE=Bubba1]

Autocrossing is awesome fun, but IMHO there's even more fun to be explored beyond autocrossing's 2nd/3rd gear. HPDE's rock.
