It is n front of Right Rear tire under a bracket. get a piece of fuel hose because you will have to cut hoses to get the filetr off. It's kinda hard to do it w/o cutting hoses. Don't forget to plug fuel line from fuel tank, it's a positive flow ffuel tank (constant flow).
Cheers!

If you have a lift, you probably won't have to cut any hoses.

Open the gas cap before Starting! All that pressure in the tank has to go somewhere, if you don't -you will next time.

$10.49 at everythinginfiniti.com

Only a couple bucks more than Fram, and this is a part where you definitely want to go OEM.

The FY33 filter is not the same as the G50 filter, although it looks almost identical.

Replacing annually along with all your air filters is a good practice. If your gasoline is of lower quality, more often may be required as the water holding capacity is minimal.

I would also pull the fuel pump fuse at idle... that will allow the fuel left in the lines to burn off before the engine shuts down from fuel starvation.

I just did it jacked up on a gravel drive-didn't have any need whatsoever to cut hoses. Easy as pie.

Although I broke damn near every rusted bolt! Not quite sure what to do next, will probably have to order new bolt receiving brackets.

I did mine yesterday. I haven't changed out the filter since I had the car (Jan. 05) and I noticed a big difference since putting on the new wix fuel filter. The main thing that I notice is that my take offs are a lot quicker now. Also, my fuel hand barely moved today coming to work. The old one must have been clogged.

Joe sells them cheap. You might want to change again before your year is up as who knows what got by it in 3.5 years! Even more true if you live in an ethanol fuel area.

I purchased the Wix fuel filter for $9.99 so I had to jump on that price. They have started using ethanol on certain stations in town, but once I see that 10% ethanol sticker, I drive off. They passed a law here in OK stating that stations had to provide a sticker if their gas had ethanol in it.

Quality....I don't know about that. Parts yeah, filter no. Did you see the link I posted a while back about how BADLY built the Nissan/Infiniti oem oil filter was? The car it went on was the Infiniti G35. The filter was cut open and it looked worse than the orange can Fram.

The original oilfilter for the VH45DE was very good. Nissan quit having it made and went to a VQ35DE filter. I have the old ones, but otherwise it is M1 from Joe for me. Hopefully their fuel filters are the same as original. I think with Wix you should be OK, but many others are a joke. With poor quality fuel and ethanol, the trick is to keep them uncontaminated by frequent changes. You got lucky.

Yeah, I did. I immediately noticed the change of acceleration once I put the new one on. I will continue to change out every June from this point on. Wix is a solid well built filter so I'm not to concerned about their oil/fuel filter. M1 filters are great, but with my oci's, the wix filter will suffice.

It is quite educational to use an electronic pressure sensor on rail input to see the pressure flucuations during acceleration.................as each injector opens.

10 milliseconds open vs 1 at idle but the rpms are 10 times faster THUS the fuel flow out of rail varies by 100 TIMES in going from idle to WOT high rpms.

Why one tests the fuel pressure at worse case conditions: redline [what ever HP peak rpm is] vs idle.

Too many get fooled by idle TEST

Cant the same filter be used? I know its not identical but I bought a bunch for my older Q and since then, I have bought a newer Q (97) and sold the older. I'm assuming that a filter is a filter ... not sure if resistance is an issue based on the differnece between the fuel pump????

The fuel filters are different for the VH41DE as compared to the VH45DE.

Not to say you can't use the latter. Very difficult to see the difference.
