My troubles got worse

I am driving around town about to get on the freeway and my dashboard lights up like a christmas tree. Trac off light, slip light and SES light all pop on at the same time. the car feels like it's in limp mode and barely moves. i nurse it to the mechanic and he tells me it's the MAF sensor and that could explain the loss of power that I have been having and the Knock sensor codes. My part should be here soon and we will see if this is the cure.

Why would my traction control go balistic at the same time? Any ideas?

On an OBD II system, it's all controlled by the ECM.

As soon as you disconnect MAF (signal loss), you will get all ETC, SLIP SES and Engine Check light.
