The car already has a tach, why add another one?

Silly people.

Sounds like a strange car, but it's possible.

i dont know much of anything about jdm motors.

but something about 700 hp with 2 cracked pistons, on pump gas at 25psi doesnt sound quite right to me.

Well a good aftermarket tach is much more accurate than the stock one.

But even so, a S13 with RB25 swap shouldn't be worth that much money. Especially with "1 or 2 cracked pistons".

Just noticed that. The cracked pistons entirely don't add up.

I think he's just an idiot. I hope he gets arrested driving on the street like that.

Even if an aftermarket tach is more accurate, why not put it in place of the stock one? I'm quite sure there are replacements that fit in the stock location, having 2 just looks retarded/ricetastic.

You know if I was selling the car based on it being the "MOST POWERFULL ONE IN USA" I think I would include the dyno sheet. That might just be me though

Hmmm, starting bid at 11k for a car with cracked pistons. Idiot.

My favorite line (sounds like a guy I'd trust):"I will not attempt to list all the mods and upgrades but take it that only the body is stock."

Hmm, I can guess why the pistons are cracked if he was making 880hp with STOCK pistons. But if its still laying down 700hp on 4 cylinders...

Yeah, if I was selling a car that I knew for damn sure aint worth 11k, I'd make sure to list the mods to justify the price

I dunno, it just doesn't add up.

APC Rice-tacular exterior/interior mods...

But that engine bay DOES look all the world like a bada$$ RB.

I think that it's probably a fast car with some problems. You don't have an engine bay like that and have a slow car, it just wouldn't make any sense. I doubt, however, that it's as fast as he's making it out to be. It might be a 400-450hp car with some problems rather than an 800hp car with some problems.

I think hes talking power before he cracked the pistons. And he's probably counting the NOS when he says 800. And hes probably exaggerating.

And is it just me or does it look like in the engine pic there's rust?

To quote beaters.com

The reason he has that "ricey" tach is because he's making power at 9000rpm! Stock tach only goes to 8000, and who knows if it actually works at that engine speed.

Also note that this is an rb25det. It's perfectly capable of the power he's claiming. I agree with the dyno chart issue though. With the "400 dyno pulls", he should at least have been able to post one up.

I wouldn't bid on it, but if I had the money, and I could ensure that this was legit, I might...

The art I liked was the "this car is built to race on the street" but at the end of the paragraph "this car is a race car only and you need another mode of transportation" or something to that effect. LOL

haha, i think i know what is going on here... a LONG while ago i remember seeing a car like this on ebay, only it wasnt riced out, and it WAS the fastest in the US. the seller had dyno sheets to back it up to... lots of info on it... it looks like a ricer bought it, couldnt handle it, and is selling it.

i even saved pics from the auction back then:

u tell me if you think its the same car...

i bet the original builder is really ashamed of what his work has become, i remember him coming off as a very mature guy that had alot of responsibility to!

That guy is almost as full of it as the guy I talked to in the McDonald's window tonight...

I pull up and he asks me if I race my car. I tell him no, I haven't got it to the track yet and he's like "oh, well me and a buddy of mine have a twin turbo Supra with nitrous injection, kinda like the one on the Fast and the Furious. I ran it at the track last year and it put down 10 flat." That is an exact quote.

Then he starts talking about money I could make street racing, I tell him Im not into that, too much risk in it, so he is like oh, well Im friends with most the cops in this area. I almost got caught doing 205 on a crotch rocket down 140 (local highway).

Yeah...okay buddy. Now give me my sundae, and don't forget the nuts.

10 second Supra and a bike that pushes 205 mph, yet working at McDonald's. I wish it were that easy.

He's probably lying, or....

He has his priorities a little screwed up.

205 on a crotch rocket? Hmm... WOuldn't that require at leat a slightly lower compression with a turbo?

Why is it that if I had to take a guess of who on NICO has worked at MD's, I would have chosen you first?
