Okay, I think I almost understood that. Lemme translate:
He had his head rebuilt. He was going to install it with his dad, but they are fighting and that won't work. So he saved up and had it installed by a shop. After the install, the car ran like crap. He was told it was the O2 sensor, and replaced it; no improvement. Then he got a CEL code: knock sensor. Had that replaced; no improvement, CEL still lit. Seems his idle RPMs jump around a bit, sometimes causing the car to stall.
Now...YES, retarded timing due to a bad knock sensor will cause a significant drop in power. Even cheap gas can cause this, that's why you don't put anything below midgrade in a car you care about. You also should avoid Maverick (if it's available where you are) gas, as it will cause potentially severe damage over time and will knock in all but the most robust engines, even the higher octanes.
Install the timing wrong? Well...I don't know how possible that is in a modern car, but with older engines (60's era) you could have lots of fun screwing with timing. It is possible that the timing has been scewed up upon install, but I don't know how likely.
Now, here are the other questions:What was done to the engine BEFORE the head was installed? Who did the install?Did the car run perfectly prior to the install? Did it run at all?You bought a USED knock sensor. That may be your problem. Buy (or at least obtain temporarily to test if that's the issue) a sensor you KNOW to work properly.
