wheel bearing

My wheel bearing is bad and everytime i drive it i hear a clicking noise. so i go to the nissan dealer to get a wheel bearing and they told me to buy the whole assembly. Cant i just go to like Kragens to get a wheel bearing and replace it?

Yes you can. I think the bearings at Kragens for the s13/14 are like 60 bucks. However, you'll need to get the old bearings pressed out and the new ones pressed in.

ugh, i took my 240sx to a shop to get my breaks checked and replaced (i had a free coupon..why not) and they told me i needed new bearings....and it was this big thing, but in the end it cost me 1600 to get my car back from them....yeah....i hate them....

I don’t know what your local Nissan dealer told you, but you can buy the wheel bearings for your S13 separately from Courtesy Nissan (www.courtesyparts.com ) Part number# 43210-AA100. Not sure about the front but the rear bearings are $98.70 each and all you have to do is have any local machine shop press them in for you and presto!

I bought the set of rear bearings thinking they would fit into the 300zx hubs for my 5 lug swap but it turns out although the are just about identical size and all the holes line up, the 300zx bearings have a tapered hole and use a rubber seal and the s13 bearings are not tapered and are sealed bearings with no rubber seal. so now I have 2 rear wheel bearing paper weights cuz the s13 bearings won’t fit into 300zx hubs. Check out the pics, if anyone has any info holla.

is the s13 wheel bearing andydifferent to the s14....because i have a s14

I dont know if there is a difference between the s14 and the s13 wheel bearing but Im sure if you give courtesy nissan a call they can hook you up
