NICO Search Tutorial for Infiniti Owners

NICO SEARCH TUTORIAL

First, click on the Search button in the upper right corner of your browser window.



Second, enter your search term below the heading "Search for". Try to use words that are not too specific, to expand results.



To the right, you can choose to search through Recent or Archived content. Select Recent content. If you do not find the information you need, search again selecting Archived content.



To the left, you can choose which forum to search through. Because NICO is such a large forum supporting so many vehicles, it sometimes helps to choose "Infiniti General" or "Infiniti Online Mechanic" to avoid having to browse through information for the Maxima or 240SX. For more general topics, you can leave this menu alone.



Directly to the right you can enter the name of a NICO member. This will allow you to narrow your searches down to posts by certain members. "Q45tech" is a suggested member to search under for new NICO members. Information about motor oil is best found by searching through posts by "PalmerWMD"

Below the forum menu, you can choose to search in Topics or Post Bodies. For technical information, and unless you're looking for one particular thread, its best to select Post Bodies to expand your search results.

Once you finish choosing your search critera, click on "Next" at the bottom left of the search box.

If you do not find the information you need, search again selecting Archived content instead of Recent content.

You can also visit Q45.org and search there as well.
